Wearable Wednesdays- Kate Winslet in Titanic

I hope this idea works out well! I know so many of you love my bright, bold, exciting looks (and I do too!) but I know that the majority of you probably wouldn’t wear them out regularly, which is totally understandable. I wanted to start doing a series that will be beneficial to all, and allow me to do easy, everyday looks that would work for your school, job, and maybe some that are a but more makeup, like a smokey look and such, but are still classy and pretty.

PLEASE don’t think that this means I’m going to stop doing my fun bright looks, because it totally doesn’t! I want to also do one fun look a week as well, but I can’t think of a clever name for it haha. I’ll figure it out!

The first look for this was inspired when I was watching Titanic the other day (I know, I know). Kate Winslet is so pretty, and I LOVED the natural eye look combined with a coral creamy lip she had on in one part of the movie and wanted to try something like that, but fit more for my skin tone and brighten it up just a bit, as I love color :)

I think you look sooooo much like Kate Winslet! I was just watching a video on youtube with her in it from Titanic, and I thought, OMG, that looks like xsparkage! So I googled “kate winslet xsparkage,” to see if anyone else had ever thought this as well, and this post came up. I think that is a little creepy that I did this today… and noticed you JUST posted this Kate Winslet look today! spooky, huh?

in this picture, I especially think you resemble her. has anyone else told you this before, and does anyone else on here think so? or am I just crazy? haha :)

That’s one of my most favorite looks, and she looked great in that movie. I like the way you add your own twist to looks that have already been done. It’s sort of like hearing a cover song that sounds hauntingly familiar but you just can’t put your finger on it. ;)

Very pretty :] I love how this kind of brings out your eyes a little bit, and it’s more of a lip focus which you don’t do very often!

You could have “Funky Friday” or “Fun Friday” to go with the alliteration & weekday thing you have for the Wednesday :]

This is more of a question than a comment. I don’t normally use primer for my face. but I have heard that it works very well with your foundation, concealer and powders. i wanted to know at what point would i put the primer? before I put my mousturizer? before or after i put my foundation? thanks!

Hey i would love it if you did a Sophie Ellis Bextor look because she always appears to have very natural and flawless skin but she always has that extra something that keeps her looking sexy and unique. i love you and i hope you will do it!! xoxo maryK (:

    hii leesha,

does the mascara primer really work?? i have straight down eyelashes that i have to curl on a regular basis..so puting on thick mascara doesnt work for me since it weighs down my eyelashes. would putting on the primer then the mascara also weigh down the eyelashes???

I simply love this! This is great for those of us with professional jobs that require more subtle but pretty makeup. I just found your YouTube videos and love them. Maybe somtime you could do an angelina jolie for this segment. Some people keep telling me I look like her but I don’t see it maybe I’m missing it since i dont know how to do her makeup style.

How about Sassy Saturdays for a fun look name! It sounds fun to me! Also I love how daring you are. I wish I had the guts to do it…
