UDsmoked 48Probably the best way to apply the colorful shades- OVER perversion. (left is over blended Perversion swatch, right is on its own, no base)

This palette is awesome, however, it definitely is not all new. 5 of the 10 shades are new and exclusive to the palette (Kinky, Freestyle, Backdoor, Barlust, and Asphalt are new!), so if you already have the other 5, it may not be worth your money. In addition to the actual makeup, you get a 26 page how-to booklet with different ideas of looks to create with the colors. I totally forgot to photograph this, but it is in the video review :)

This palette wil be sold for $49 from Urban Decay.

this palette is so amazing I’m glad I waited to find the perfect UD palette to get.
for a “nude” palette I prefer thebalm’s nude tude instead of the naked palette

Thanks for the tip about using black liner under the deeper, more vibrant colors. I’ve never tried that before.

Love your swatches :) Also, you’re right, the color looks great on top of Perversion. Thank you for sharing that tip!

Hey Leesha!  I have the Perversion pencil, but I have to say a more affordable dupe of it is the bareMinerals ‘Round the Clock pencil in Midnight.  Just as deep a black, and I have to say, it wears even longer than Perversion!!  I just figured I’d suggest that since it is one of my favorite eye pencils

FYI The booklet is being sold separately at Urbandecay.com if you want the looks but not the entire palette. And UD make an even better matte black than blackout…check out the Black Palette for the sootiest, inkiest matte black shadow in the world, Black Dog (which btw, if you own The Black Palette, makes this palette sadly redundant in many ways!).
Great photos and swatches, I have a feeling I won’t own this palette unless someone gets it for me bc I’m still undecided between Naked and Naked2. I own neither and want both! Glad I bought The Black Palette but wish I hadn’t bought BoS 3. Naked wouldve been the better investment.

Naked is better than Naked2 IMO.

Is the thing inside the case metal? or is it just plastic/cardboard?

Great post Leesha! Sadly, I’m just not excited to buy this, (though I probably will eventually). I have all of their palettes, and as you said, I have 5 of the 10, and already have shades way too similar to the others! Great for a beginner or someone new to UD palettes though!

I definitely think I’ll get this, or at least put on my birthday/Christmas list.  The only color I have is Blackout, and I’m totally cool with having more of it.  I love that super pigmented, matte, black.  I also really want Perversion, and I love that they have a Look Book.

The palette looks really cool and the colours are very pigmented and pretty however they’re not very original, I feel like I have something similar for almost every colour, except Mushroom. I do really like the swatch of Perversion eyeliner, I might get that one.

I need to get this before I go on vacation. Something tells me the zipper closure and large variety will be exactly what I need in these hot summer days.

I love UD and it’s great that they came out with a new palette, I just wish that they would let the consumer pick the color for the same price of there new palette… I think that it would be great if they did something like that, I realize that they have a single es, in a pot and you can depot that but for the price of that it’s not worth it . Really 18 per shadow x 6 that’s  108 plus tax hello … Sorry this is not a bash on the company at all just say’in it be nice to see if they would consider doing something for the consumer who love the products and would like to have a good deals. Btw great review and swatches Leesha! Thank you for your time :)

I think after watching your tons UD products reviews I’m going to get the smoked palette, cause the perversion liner itself worth the pick. it always bothers me when come to line my waterline, the staying power and pigmentation eyeliners I’ve used so far are not doing the favor as I expected, they all just gone within an hour. Have to definitely give perversion a shot!

I’ve already own several UD palettes, they’re more than just amazing! ^ ^
