Traveling with Going Glam for an organized suitcase

A few weeks ago, Hautelook had a sale on GoingGlam products. I had never heard of the company before, but when I saw that they were basically beauty travel organizers, I knew it was something that I would totally benefit from!

Usually when I travel, I throw all of my makeup into a big makeup bag (generally the Sigma one). It has the advantage of having a lot of room and a few pockets, but since it isn’t see-through, I end up with a big mess of products and usually packing a LOT more than I could ever use on a short trip. I also always grab a quart sized ziplock bag for my liquids in my carry-on, and almost always end up packing the little bag with so much stuff that it rips a hole in it. Two of the GoingGlam products I picked up help with those issues, and I got a few others that will really make a difference in my traveling ways!

Airline-Compliant Liquids Bag- See how much roomier this seems than a standard quart-sized bag? It’s heavy duty and packs a TON of stuff, perfect for the beauty Traveler! I love the little plane on the front, and it comes with three 3oz clear bottles and a funnel. Generally I find that 3oz bottles are way too large for your standard 3-4 day trip, I hope companies start making 1oz ones, it’d be so much easier but they are so hard to come by!

Take Charge Cord Organizer- Another typical Leesha Traveling Move- Must have the laptop, iPhone, iPad, Kindle, iPod, DSLR, video camera, and any other portal device with me at all times! It’s super easy to end up with a complete mess of cords in a bag, so this little container is a lifesaver.

It comes with three velcro separators that make four cord compartments, and because of the velcro, you can move the separators to create more or less room for bulkier or tiny cords. I packed this today for my Beauty Social Trip and it easily held my kindle cord, DSLR, video camera, and iPhone chargers, and they’re all wrapped up and nicely organized!

Expandable Laundry Bag- Another Leesha move- overpacking. I think it’s just in a girl’s genes to overpack when going on a trip! Obviously, if you don’t wear some clothes on your trip, you want to keep them separate from dirty clothes that have been worn. This little item comes to the rescue! In it’s normal state, its about a small, flat square with a cute little washing machine on it, but once you unzip it, you get a nicely sized laundry bag to keep dirty clothes out of sight.

Tampon Case- I couldn’t resist picking this up :) I love the “need chocolate!” on the front, so cute! This is the perfect size to stash time-of-the-month necessities, and fits great in a purse.

Large Makeup Case- My favorite item of all! This case has a black, snake print outside, and is relatively flat, so it won’t bulk and bulge, which can cause your suitcase to have trouble closing.

Inside, there are three clear-topped soft-cases, two medium sized and one large, to organize your makeup, along with a zipper pouch on the top of the case. Each soft-case is removable and zippers closed, so you can easily organize your makeup for the trip!

Best of all, each of the removable cases stays attached to the main case by velcro, so your makeup won’t move around.

Here’s everything I brought with me to The Beauty Social this past weekend.. it all fit perfectly!

Overall, I’m really happy with the items I picked up! Just based on packing for this trip, I can tell they will be a huge asset to my packing in the future.

All of these are available from the Going Glam website! :)
