The Lip Bar Lip Cocktails Review

By  |  15 Comments

Today I have some really awesome lipsticks to show you from a company called The Lip Bar. I have to tell you- I absolutely LOVE the theme of this company- the website looks like a Bar website, the lipsticks are on the “Bar Menu”, they call their lipsticks Cocktails (the nude collection are Virgin Cocktails) and all the lipsticks are themed around mixed drinks. It’s so damn cute (Not to mention the lipstick packaging, amazing!) I have a couple of pieces from the Secret Garden Collection, and are all very soft, pastel like shades. Oh, and a badass mint green that I want to wear everywhere all day long.

Mint Julep is a soft, pastel mint green with a satin formula. I am in love with this, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lipstick color quite like this one!

Cafe au Lait is from the Virgin Cocktails line, which includes beautiful nude shades. This one is a really nice warm peachy beige satin.

Ambrosia is a soft coral satin. I love peachy/coral lipsticks above all others, so this is no exception!

Peony Punch is a bright lilac shade,

All of the lipsticks here are satins, and have a really nice feel to them. They are creamy and moisturizing, but hold their place and dont feel like they will slide right off after an hour. These lipsticks have lots of moisturizing properties as well, such as Vitamin E, Shea Butter, and avocado and coconut oil, and you can tell the second you put them on. The whole idea behind The Lip Bar is to create new, out-of-the-box lip products that are made with quality ingredients, and I really feel like they met those expectations with the colors I have. They feel great on the lips and look awesome.

These are available for $20 each from The Lip Bar.

I am so obsessed with the packaging of these! I love all 4 shades (that mint green is amazing!) but I think out of the 4, Ambrosia would be the one best suited for me. I’ll definitely be checking them out though!

Was surprised at how much more pink ambrosia turned out to be. They don’t seem to be true to the stick color but that’s alright with me because you still get a good color payoff. Love the pa jangling as well :) keep posting!

Omg, that packaging is amazing. I love Ambrosia, it’s such a beautiful peach. I’d be nervous to wear a green on my lips, but it’d be great for cosplays or artistic makeup.

    Love the colours!
Actually the ‘Ambrosia’ colour made me think of YouTuber 87DaysBefore because that use to be her name and she’s a fiend for coral lip colours!

These remind me of lipstick version of OCC though

Such an interesting variety of colors! I really like and appreciate the close-ups. Would you ever consider posting full-face shots when you do lipstick swatches? It would make it easier to see the “bigger picture” if you get what I mean.

In absolute love with the packaging and the colours. Think it’s the first time I’ve ever seen a mint green lipstick

OMG the mint green one! I need it. I went to The Lip Bar site to check it out and they have a swatch up of Mint Julep but whoa, their swatch looks nothing like your beautiful swatch. The formula looks much heavier and the color has more gray and yellow tones. Your swatch looks beautiful though! I hope their swatch is wrong because I definitely need the one you have! :D I also love Ambrosia! Man, these are super pretty! :D

The mint looks a lot like a less opaque version of lime crime’s mint to be
