The Hunger Games Series- District 11

By  |  38 Comments

In The Hunger Games, District 11 is responsible for the agriculture in Panem. I took that as inspiration for this district’s tutorial, along with Rue, who is the girl tribute for District 11 in the games. I wanted to have a soft look and use a white-gold to somewhat represent daisies (I didn’t wanna go full out white). If you’ve read the books, then you’ll understand why (not giving anything away!) Hope you enjoy!

I love your hair!! You can pull off any color, it’s seriously not fair. I didn’t even notice you had died your hair for several moments before it finally clicked, because it looks that natural. Love this look! Your interpretations have been wonderful so far, so I can’t wait to see what you come up with for the rest of them!

Your hair looks super cute. I totally thought it was another wig from looking at the picture. I don’t even know what Hunger Games is even about. I just saw the preview for the movie the other day and I’m sure I’ll go see it. Great tutorial as always.

    AN-droh-meh-dah, not andro-MEdah.

        Not in the slightest!

      February 18, 2012 at 10:25 pm

Not that it matters to anyone else, but since it seems to matter to you – it’s actually an-DRAW-meh-duh :)

but who cares! It’s a lovely lip gloss that completes a beautiful look

        February 22, 2012 at 9:54 am

No, it’s “AN-droh-meh-dah” phonetically, if it sounds like “draw” that’s down to accent, and shouldn’t be emphasized.

Alex was only explaining how to pronounce it correctly, it’s not like she said “Leesha you moron you’re pronouncing it wrong.” You just may as well pronounce something correctly.

But I complete agree that it’s a lovely lip gloss which I’m very tempted to buy after seeing it as I have Mildew and I’m always looking to use it more – not trying to be a troll here :)

I love this look and I love the mi vida local palettes but its kinds expensive. Is it worth the splurge or do you recommend getting something else, either similar or completely different?

You got the names right in the video! (think about it– Dublin does make sense for a green shade, right? Haha) This look is SO pretty- I have to try it out:)

LOVE the hair color. You should try to use some sort of an oil to add some shine. Redken’s allsoft oil is great. I hear the Moroccan Oil is great too.

How can you seem to pull off any hair color and/or style? You must have the all-time best facial shape and features! Also, I will have to wear this look soon. (:

I tried this today with the naked palette and i think it’s a very flattering look! a nice little pop of colour, and could easily be changed up to any colour :) looks great on you!

I hope you don’t have too much trouble with the future districts. You might have to skip some since their duties never came up :)
This look is beautiful! That gold-white and green are so gorgeous together. The Urban Decay liner makes me shiver whenever you apply it but that’s only because the name of it is Mildew. The color is pretty though so it doesn’t bother me as much. :3
Keep up the good work, Leesha <3

I really like how you use that sand beige colour, Ultrism?, to line the inner corners of your lashes! It’s really beautiful. I’ve never thought of using sand beige for the inner corners. It’s always been whites and off-whites for me.

:D I love your hair color! I have been contemplating dying a darker color for a while, and I have been trying to pick a color. Now I know exactly what color I want. Yours :D
