Tarte EmphasEYES Waterproof Clay Shadow/Liner Swatches

Ooooh, I really enjoy these! These are the new liners from Tarte. They’re very much like any of the gel liner’s you know and love, except these are waterproof. And when they say waterproof, they mean waterproof. I had these on my hand for an entire day and once they set, they’re pretty much there until you take them off with makeup remover. Just to test it out, I put a few drops of water on top of the swatches and rubbed it into my skin, and not lightly at all, just about scrubbing! They didn’t run at all, but with enough rubbing after awhile they did start to sort of flake away and wear away. I really don’t think this could really happen when it’s on your eyes though, unless you are constantly rubbing your eyes.

These also come with a double sided liner/shadow brush.

These retail at $22 each and are available from Sephora and Tarte.com.

I’ve been looking for something waterproof to wear to the pool this summer, these look like what I’ve been looking for. Thanks so much

Nice liners, but a bit pricey. Especially if you wanted a couple of them! The Maybelline Eyestudio ones are waterproof too, and only about seven bucks :)

Oohh the colors look reallllly pretty…I’m loving the purple one.

Do you think that these would stay well on the waterline? I’ve been looking for one that does because I love the consistency of cream/gel eyeliners

Hi there! I have the indigo color, and have tried to place it on the waterline with the orush it comes with, the color doesnt show up very well. I could have gotten a defective one maybe, but the color isnt very.. pronounced.

lol @ the name, is it just the UK or is the term ‘Tart’ used anywhere else in the world? its kinda an old fashioned word for someone looking trashy…. :S

    1. Melly says

It’s ‘Tarte’, not ‘Tart’. Tarte is french for pie, not sure if that’s why it’s named ‘Tarte’ but it’s definitely not to mean trashy!

    These colors are a w e s o m e !
But they are a bit pricey.
I still had to buy one since they looked so amazing(:
I got the Plum, and it is absolutley gorgeous!
Plus, since I live in AZ as well, it’s getting really hot, and the color doesn’t fade, smear, or disappear completley when I sweat. Definitley a product worth having.

WOW!! These are nice!! I can’t wait to try one errr all hehe! $22 isn’t really that bad, they come with a brush!! Most gel liners don’t come with a brush and are $20 alone. I think it is a good price! Thanks for testing these out Leesha!
