Sigma Resort Palette

The newest product out from Sigma is the Resort Palette, inspired by a tropical island vacation. Sigma had this to preview at IMATS back in January, which I unfortunately missed out on :( This palette has a gorgeous mix of neutral and bright shades that really give off the island vacation feel. In addition to eight eyeshadows, there is also a blush, double-ended eye pencil and even a liquid highlighter for a nice glow.

Muse is a taupe grey satin with decent color payoff.

SigmaResortPalette 8 Fawn Eyeshadow
Fawn is a gorgeous shimmery cool gold.

SigmaResortPalette 22 Luna, Topaz EyeshadowsSigmaResortPalette 7 Luna Eyeshadow
Luna is a light gold shimmer.

SigmaResortPalette 6 Topaz Eyeshadow
Topaz is a warm orange brown satin with gold flecks. This is a really interesting shade!

SigmaResortPalette 21 Papaya, Moonbeam EyeshadowsSigmaResortPalette 5 Papaya Eyeshadow
Papaya is a bright, peachy shade with gold shimmer. This is generally what I would use as a quick, all-over shadow color, as it looks great with blue eyes!

SigmaResortPalette 4 Moonbeam Eyeshadow
Moonbeam is definitely my favorite color here! Gorgeous lilac with loads of shimmer. This is a pretty unique purple shade, I feel like I don’t see this very often and its beautiful!

SigmaResortPalette 20Neela, Midori EyeshadowSigmaResortPalette 3Neela Eyeshadow
Neela is a ocean-like blue satin with gold shimmer.

SigmaResortPalette 2 Midori Eyeshadow
Midori is a limey green with gold shimmer.

SigmaResortPalette 19 Heavenly BlushSigmaResortPalette 1 Heavenly Blush
Heavenly is a medium peachy matte blush. I was surprised how light it swatched (a good surprised!) But I have to say I don’t love the format of the blush being so long and slim. I understand why it is, It just isn’t super practical with how blush brushes are shaped.

SigmaResortPalette 18Luminesce Liquid HighlighterSigmaResortPalette 16Luminesce Liquid HighlighterSigmaResortPalette 11Luminesce Liquid Highlighter- swatched blended out (top) and not blendedSigmaResortPalette 10 Luminesce Liquid Highlighter fully blended out
Luminesce is a golden shimmer highlight. This is a pretty strong shimmer, so I would probably apply it around the cheekbones BEFORE foundation. That way, you will get the shimmer without it being overpowering.

Earth Goddess is a nice dark chocolate brown.
Daydream is GORGEOUS! bright, beautiful matte blue.
My only complaint with the eyeliners is the way the pencil is in the wood. its sooo pointy! I know I can make it more rounded by swatting it on the back of my hand, but the way they look out of the box makes me scared to put them on my waterline, like they’re gonna scratch me!

Overall I like the colors in this palette and appreciate the fact that Sigma went above what a normal palette offers with the addition of the blush, double ended pencil, and liquid highlighter. The price on this set is $42, which is not a bad deal, considering the additions (a quick look at Sephora showed me palettes tend to cost around $40 for just eyeshadows).
