Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides Inspired Look

By  |  28 Comments

I wanted to make a makeup look inspired by the new Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides movie, but really all I had to go off of inspiration-wise were the colors from the OPI collection, which are pastel cremes that sort of fit into the mermaid essence of it. I made this before I saw the movie, but now that I have I think I need to do another look that is darker and more geared toward the pirate end of the spectrum :)

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Illamasqua Bedaub Cream Pigment
Yaby Best of Both Worlds Palette:

NYX Ocean Pearl Ultimate Pearl Eyeshadow
Urban Decay Ransom 24/7 Eye Pencil
Kat Von D Black Liquid Eyeliner
Lancome Beach Gem Artliner
Stila Stingray Smudgestick
Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara

Tarte Blushing Bride Amazonian Clay Blush

OCC Momento Liptar
MAC Goldirocks Dazzleglass

I’m really digging this. I don’t have the Yaby palette, but I’m sure I can find dupes with the Coastal Scents ones!

How amazing is that first picture! WOW, you really get to see all the different colours =D think this is one of my fav looks from you Leesha!
And also, I think the lighting is better on this tutorial than it was on the last look you made in this room…

I love it. This is so fun. The crease color is perfect and the purple liner (with the teal? right next to the upper lash line) is so neat!

That is great! It’s fun, but not too, too bright, so I think I could actually pull it off. Very cool!

Whoa! That is gorgeous Leesha! Crazy thing though I did like a mint green and purple eye look today without the blue! I also went shopping today and bought one of the tarte amazonian clay blushes in amused and I cannot wait to use it! I also bought the mac brush cleaner to spot clean my brushes like you showed in one video! And a 3-piece tokidoki brush set! I adore them! I’ve learned so much from you! You are amazing! Please keep doing what you’re doing!
