Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Pirate Makeup Look

This look is another one inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, except this one is actually inspired by the film, not just nail polishes based off the film! :D

I really, really love how this look came out! It’s simple, sexy, and pretty much requires only two brushes. I think that this will be my go-to smokey eye from now on :D

hey, i like this one better then the other pirates look. just want you to know that i have you to thank for my obsession with makeup. I would love a future in cosmetics but I’m still working on that part. :)

This is by far one of my favorite looks you’ve ever done! I’m in love. It’s sexy, simple, and beautiful, and could be worn for many different occasions. I was debating on getting that pigment stack, but after seeing this, I think I have to get it now.

i wish i could find something that stayed on my waterline so i could pull off your looks.. everything melts off instantly , even ud pencils :(

I have the same problem as you. I can not wear pencils because they either rub/melt off super fast or they don’t even mark my lid/waterline (like I’m using invisible ink or something). It’s sooo frustrating. The only liner I have found that actually works on me (and stays on all day) is Pixi gel liner. I would suggest trying that. Pixi is sold at Target where there are displays for you to try out.

Have you tried using a gel/cream liner? I used to have the same problem til I started doing that (and I’ve found UD pencils to be awful for waterline, not sure why everyone seems to love them so much). I use a super cheap one that is surprising amazing- Maybelline Eye Studio. (Comes in a little pot with a brush). Set with a good black shadow (I lovee sugarpill bulletproof) I’ve had it stay on all day and night.

I just boghut a trio of shadows… all neutrals great for doing the “gwen stefani look”. lol . My first nyx purchase and i can’t complain at all. The texture is really soft and super “blendable” (if thats a word.. ). Ulta stores have these bogo every now and then and i’m sure ya’ll already know but if you dont… sign up or get this stores “member card” and u’ll get coupons in the mail.. usually something like 3.50 off 10.00 and thats not bad at all. I agree with all of the above I too <3 MAC, but can’t afford it ALL the time.. especially the “trendy stuff” or things i might think are cute now and in a month be like ugh.. what was i thinkin? Better 4.00 then 14.00 mmm hmm!!

I tried this look this morning with the UD Naked Palette. I think it came out pretty good. Its obviously not as shiny with the gold color but it looks great. Love this look. This is by far one of my favorite looks that you have done EVER. This can be worn on the lighter side for an everyday look or you can make it darker and sexier for night time. LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I wish that you would do more looks like this.

Once again, the pictures for this post are absolutely beautiful.

I really appreciate that you’ve started to state the names of products in your videos again. If you used a product that I thought looked cool, I would definitely check back to your site to see what it was called. But, for whatever reason, it helps me better understand the looks you do because, if I know the product, I really understand the texture and shade of what you’re using before I go back to the blog. (Which makes me more likely to try it myself.)
    Thank you! :)

I am so excited to try this out. The browny-gold on top paired with that dark grey on the bottom is so devastatingly beautiful. Ahhh it just resonates with me so much, I love it ♥

  7. Ali says:

This is beautiful! I love the gold! We’re on the same wavelength of thinking gold is Pirates of the Caribbean. Same reason why I usually wear gold eyeshadow to work, I’m a pirate who loves gold, therefore, gold eyeshadow… ;)

really love this look….couldn`t rezist it and just had to recreate it…awesome job Leesha ! Thumbs up!!!!

  9. Tanya says:

I also love Caribbean looks. Johnny Depp the Captain Jack Sparrow is my great artist.I have seen 1,2,3 and waiting for the 4. One of the grates movie ever the world. “Pirates of the Caribbean” is the greatest production of Bruckheimer and Rob Marshall.

  10. Christina says:

i love you leeesha!!!! I just don’t understand why you cut out a lot of the hard parts, then when the video goes back, it looks perfect. You skip over it and I don’t know how to do it.. Like when you put the eyeliner on and smudged it.. Didn’t look great cuz it was getting messy, then you completely skipped over the part we need to see the most

Just warning those with contact lenses to be careful when applying the cream eyeliners or gel eyeliners to your waterline. I have used MAC Fluidline in the past to line my waterline and it has gotten on my contact lenses – was very hard to remove from the lenses! A good solution is to let the liner dry first before blinking.

  12. Ellen says:

i have dark brown/green eyes so when i try a smokey look it makes my eyes look really small. What shade of eye shadow would be suited to my eyes ???.P.S great look :)

  13. Hannah says:

hey does anyone know a good dupe for that gold pigment??? if anyone does i would really like to know thanx :)
