Non-Airbrush Foundation Routine

By  |  18 Comments

I’ve been asked many times to do a video for you guys talking about my go-to foundation products that aren’t airbrush. For a long time, the problem was that I really didn’t use anything but airbrush (and normally, if I’m at home, I still don’t!) By far my favorite way to apply foundation is using my airbrush, NOTHING comes close to coverage and ease of use :) But, because sometimes it can be impractical to bring an airbrush machine with me, I have a set of products I like to use if airbrushing isn’t an option.

Products mentioned:

  • Cover Fx Skin Primer
  • Benefit Stay Don’t Stray
  • Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat (I filmed this before I knew about the Milani HD Concealer, that works too!
  • Makeup Forever Mat Velvet (02)
  • Cover Fx Concealer (M10)
  • MAC Translucent Powder (using a fan brush!)
  • Matte Bronzer to contour
  • MAC Lingering Brow Pencil (and a spoolie!)

You said that you use the Cover Fx Skin Primer before airbrushing as well. I airbrush but when I airbrush it tends to look dry and creasing under my eyes. I guess it is getting in my little wrinkles (which I didnt know that I had). But when you airbrush it doesnt look that way at; dry and gets all up in your creases and crevices. Is this why… because you use Cover Fx Skin Primer. Because of the dry creasing look I am still using concealer which sucks.

    Leesha,

I am on the hunt for a new foundation because I didn’t like the MUFE HD one (a little oily and clings to every dry spot or flake I might have!). I just wondered if the MUFE Mat Velvet+ gives enough coverage to fill in large pores? Right now I’m just using Clinique’s Almost Makeup spf 15 and then their pore “spackle” stuff, which works, but I’d love to be able to have a little more coverage and oil control in those oily spots without having the cakey issue with my drier spots.

    Thanks!

I thought you were wearing foundation at the very beginning. Your skin is perfect; I don’t think you even need any of the rest of the 10.21minutes of the video!!

    So jealous :'(

I agree with Mikeira! I thought you already had on foundation at the beginning of the video :P I’m wondering if you still use any of the Mario Badescu products.. probably not because you certainly don’t need it. & your hair is looking better by the video!

I love watching your skin videos. We have the exact same skin color, so I always know which shade to buy in new face products by watching your videos. Lol! I just wish I knew if your skin was dry, oily, or combo. That would help with primers and moisturizers. ??? :)

Your skin is amazing! You seriously do not need to use any foundation or the like. At the beginning of he vid your skin is just as beautiful as at the end.

Could you please do like a Skincare video where you show what products you use regularly, like cleanser, make-up remover, exfoliator, eye cream, sunscreen ect.
