I have had extra long platinum hair for years and what works for me is Clairol’s Shimmer Lights shampoo. I would recommend it to everyone. I find it so potent that I even dilute it with normal shampoo. It has a pretty strong soap smell but it doesn’t seem to last after rinsing and it is pretty drying so you definitely need to use a good conditioner.

Matrix So Silver is great!I’m platinum blonde myself, so I’ve tried a lot. But I don’t like to use it, every dey. Just like, once a week or so. All other days I use Lee Stafford’s shampoo and conditioner for bleach blondes.

I would love to hear updates about how that shampoo works for your hair! Also if the keratin It’s a 10 is better than the original for damage. I look for those miracle bleach blonde products too!!

Have you ever tried Jane’s Max Lash 2 mascara? It is amazing. I rarely wear makeup, and don’t really care what brands I wear as long as it is cheap, but I actually love that mascara enough that I finally tracked it down on ebay! It is one of those double ended mascaras (one side says prime and lengthen and the other says bold and thicken). I had tried L’oreal’s “Double Extend” thinking I would get similar results since it is also double ended, however, I found the results to not be any different than any “regular” mascara. Max Lash 2 is as dramatic as wearing fake lashes in my opinion.

I’ve been meaning to do before and after photos with it; maybe I will get around to it today since I don’t have anything planned other than cleaning. I’ll leave you a link here whenever I do, in case you are interested in seeing.

If you want to try it, there are still more available here for $4.25 (with free shipping):

In the interest of full disclosure, I haven’t opened the new tube yet, so, I am hoping that they haven’t changed the formula any since the first tube I bought years and years ago.

P.S. I was oddly excited when I saw Jane Cosmetics listed since it is so hard to find now. I used to buy it at Wal-Mart.
