Milani Runway Eyes Fashion Shadows- Swatches, Photos

By  |  25 Comments

Milani has an eyeshadow palette out called Runway Eyes- Fashion Shadows, and every time I peruse the cosmetics section at the drugstore it catches my eye. It has six fun colored shades that instantly jump out at you in the packaging, and a sleek design that a lot of other brands don’t do. I decided to pick it up during my last Walgreens run and see if it was as good as it looked!

I’m pretty sure the swatches say it all, but if not, I was really disappointed with this palette! The colors look so cool in the packaging- they’re so bright and fun, but the color payoff is really lacking. I honestly expected with a name like “Runway Eyes” that there would be bright, fun color but even with a base I really had to work too get the colors to show up. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this. You can easily get similar colors with better payoff from other brands, like Wet & Wild, or even other Milani shadows.

I was thinking the same thing. Also wondering what it would look like over milk.

Because they are mica heavy all of them preform like other brands of baked mineral eyeshadow. Wet or a sticky base makes them preform much better pigmentation wise.

Bummer! The packaging looks great, and I love how they set up the shadows in the palette. What a disappointment.

    Thanks for sharing

Omg I look at this exact palette almost every time I go makeup shopping and I’ve never bought it! I’m kind of glad I didn’t now, I can put that craving to rest!

Yeah, unfortunately, I too had high hopes for this palette, but the colors were horrible! They swatched really bad, weren’t long lasting or pigmented, and were very powdery. I wish I had never bought it ):

I read this blog too late. Thought the same exact thing.. so excited when i bought it at target but it was such a dissapointing palette.. felt like i had to dig at the eyeshadows multiple times and the pigment was still weak.

I feel the same way and you also have to leave them at home, I noticed. They shatter very easily and it’s almost impossible to put them back together. :/

How weird. I bought this palette about a year ago and it was wicket bright. I loved it. And it looked crazy when wet.

I bought a couple of these palettes and hated them. Not only is the pigmentation horrible, but they break so incredibly easily as well. I gave them all to my younger sister, because I saw no need to keep them.

Maybe it’s just me, but I could tell the color payoff would be crap just by looking at it. I’m surprised you even got the swatches as bright/dark as you did.
