MAC Surf Baby! Short Shorts, Sun Blonde, & Saffron Eyeshadows; Gilded White Powerpoint: Swatches, Photos

By  |  13 Comments

MAC Surf Baby! Collection includes five eyeshadows and two Powerpoint Eye Pencils. The colors I have to show you today are a white-champange frost, a dirty yellow-gold frost, and a deep coral satin, as well as a yellow-white frost pencil.

The eyeshadows I have from this collection definitely fit the theme of this collection (they actually are very similar to the colors in the packaging!) I feel like Short Shorts is a color that isn’t so unique, but is a color that everyone should have, so if you don’t have a white-gold, now’s a good a time as any to pick one up!
Sun Blonde is a really unique color on the other hand! It’s almost a mustard yellow, and although it’s a frost finish, I feel it leans more towards a satin in terms of texture and finish. I feel like mustard-yellows like this are few and far between, so if you’re into unique shades, this is definitely one to look for!
Saffron is kind of a dirty coral and has a true satin finish.
Gilded White is very similar to Short Shorts, but in pencil form. Again, a white-gold is great to have as a shadow AND a pencil in my book, as they both work well on their own and together, and a white-gold pencil works amazing as an inner-corner highlight or as a base for shadow.

These are available for $15.50 each May 26 from MAC Cosmetics.

Sunblonde is really unique.. Definitely going to grab that! I feel it’d compliment blue eyes fairly well.. :)

That’s funny! I never noticed how all the eyeshadows match the colors of the packaging. I think you’re the first one I’ve seen who mentioned it.

I really hate special packaging. Does MAC not realize that people like me who are pro members would spend more if they allowed the discount on special packaging?

I like Sun Blonde. Saffron is nice too, but the color doesn’t quite match the name.

I think it does, I mean Saffron is a reddish-orange spice to begin with so

They’re already selling these in Tallin, and when I was over there last weekend I picked up Blue Noon Powerpoint Eye pencil, it’s a really pretty sea blue-green :)

Sun Blonde and Surf USA were the colours I picked up, they are so pigmented and pretty.

I don’t have a white gold… I still kinda feel like skipping that, though. xP

I love all three shadow colors, when are they avail here? Can you do a tutorial or a look with these for summer? I have one in mind but you always seem to come up with something different.

I think you are more suited for Surf USA (I didn’t loved him, but I can figure you are a girl able to make it shine) and Blue Noon (I’m thinking about purchasing this one for myself), will you haul them… or at least check them out?

Saffron looks like it’s less pigmented than when it came out with Mickey Contractor…?
It’s one of my favorites and I thought I’d get one as a backup… but if it’s not the same quality, I may not….
