The Surf Baby Collection includes two stacks of Crushed Metallic PIgment- Surf the Ocean, which includes four mainly cool-toned shades of pigment including a frosty platinum, a light sea-foam green, a gold bronze, and a dark graphite, and Summer Stash- a more wamer-shaded bunch, including a soft champagne, white pearl, violet, and a gold-speckled bronze.

I’ve never used the Crushed Metal Pigments before, although I have heard of them. They definitely are unique in texture and application- they remind me of Dippin Dots in how they seem to ball up, and they apply as if they have been foiled (or used wet), so you get amazing color payoff with very little product. I love the seafoam green color in the Surf the Ocean Stack, as well as the gold (that one seems to ball-up the most- it looks like fools gold! Even so, it applies the same as the rest!). The Summer Stash stack is much warmer and safer, in my opinion, yet still gorgeous. Of the two I think the Surf The Ocean stack is my favorite and the shades are very appropriate of the name!

These are available for $32.50 for each stack May 26 from MAC Cosmetics.

That’s odd that the gold shade is chunky. Temptalia’s was the same way. :/
