Leesha Loves: January 2011 Faves

I feel like I’ve tried so many things this month, and I miss doing monthly favorite videos, so it’s kinda perfect timing for that all to come about now :) Here are my favorite products from this month!

Juice Beauty Organic Full Strength Apple Peel
I’ve had a sample of this peel sitting in a drawer for I have no idea how long. I think I got it as a sample from ordering Sephora online, and I always looked at it but never really had the urge to try it until a few weeks ago. This stuff really is magic. It smells not so awesome (like fermented apples) and leaves your face looking a bit sunburnt after using it (like most peels) but the next day.. my skin is so soft, and looks crazy healthy. I’ve been using this weekly since (the sample was enough for 4 peels!!) and just ordered a full size from beauty.com, as sephora doesn’t seem to sell it anymore. It’s great cause if you order through Ebates, you get 12% cash back! (sorry, i love ebates haha) :)

Origins VitaZing Moisturizer

I got this because another YouTuber, MakeupbyTiffanyD, had been raving about it on Twitter, and now I see why! This moisturizer really brightens up your face and gives it a beautiful glow. It’s one of those things that you kinda just have to try to understand I think, but believe me, the results are great!

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

I have used a ton of face washes, but they all are for a specific problem- acne, anti-aging, etc. I wanted to try a face wash that wasn’t full of ingredients targeted to help a certain problem, but one to just leave my face feeling fresh and clean. When I ordered the VitaZing from Origins site, I got this as a free sample (a pretty decent sample, being a full oz bottle!) I love that this foams up really nice, and you only need a TINY amount of product. It claims to cleanse both dry and oily areas of the face without leaving your face feeling stripped, just perfectly balanced, and it really holds true to that.

L’oreal Youth Code Day/Night Cream
Great night time moisturizer. See full review here :)

Fortune Cookie Soap Whipped Cream: Something Tropical
Fortune Cookie Soap recently introduced luscious body butters to their line, and these don’t disappoint! My favorite scent by far is Something Tropical. You can see a full review here.

Fortune Cookie Soap Shampoo Bar
Full review here. LOVE Hawaiian Ice and Ikebana.

OPI Black Shatter Polish
This is a new product for me- I know that some of you have seen polishes like this back in the 90′s, but I guess I was a bit too young, or just not cool enough to know about them :) This is a fun polish to play with, and see what it looks like over different colors. I tried it today over Lighthouse from the new Anchors Away collection from China Glaze (It’s a bright yellow gold with a crazy shimmer) and it’s SO cool. the shimmer from the yellow looks CRAZY peeking through the flat black. Very cool.

Zoya Harley Nail Polish
Beautiful gray blue, totally unexpected love from me!

Longwear Lipcolor
LOVE Loreal Le Rouge in Perpetual Peach. So pretty! Also love ELF lipstain in first date, which I’m wearing in the video :)

What was the ELF lip product you were wearing? You said products would be listed here so maybe it’s here and I don’t see it because I’m a crazy blind person when it comes to finding anything………….. But I tried! :P

I love love love your Favorites videos! I get so overwhelmed when I go out to buy cosmetics I rely heavily on my fav Makeup Bloggers! I got the Apple Peel as a sample too and have been wanting to try it. In fact…I might try it today. I was wondering if you’ve ever tried the Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder? I want to try it but it’s $60! I trust your opinion and would love to know what you think. :) :o)

I love the lip stain you’re wearing. Unfortunately, no matter what kind I use, the natural reddish color of my lip still shows up and I think that’s the reason first date looks different on you than it does on me even though we both have the same skin tone. D: What can I do to tone down my natural lip color?
