Katy Perry ET Music Video Tutorial: Wearable Wednesday

OMG!! Do you see what the title of this look is? WEARABLE WEDNESDAY?!!

sue

I’ve come to the conclusion that unless I have some sort of schedule for my videos, I won’t do them regularly, soo I decided that Wearable Wednesday and Fierce Friday can come out and play for a bit :) They’re fun, keep me focused and let you guys know when videos will be posted.

Today’s look is based off the Katy Perry ET Music Video. There is a part near the end of the video where her makeup is super, super pretty and I really wanted to try it out :)

When I first aattempted a tutorial for this, I did it pretty close to how it looks in the video, without the straight brows and weird markings.. but I hated it. I was having a bad makeup day and it was not worth posting. Cut to a few days later, and I decided to redo it, but make it more wearable, like a look some of you might actually wear out, but still keeping to the theme of how she has it above!

Here’s what I came up with :)

I love this look on you! It is dramatic but not over the top! Are you using new foundation?? It looks like you have more make up on then usual! Still gorgeous (as always) wish I had your skin lol!

  2. Laura says:

This makes your eyes look HUGE!! I love it.

I am always wary of putting eyeliner around/in my inner corner because I feel like I look ridiculous…but I think this look just might have convinced me to give it a shot!

beautiful interpretation! i love how in the first pic i thought it was a black smokey eye, but then in the second pic there was the surprise of a light-colored lid. the contrast between the light lid and the dark smokey lower lashline is amazing!

Yea! So glad to hear Wearable Wednesday and Fierce Friday are back! Especially Wearable Wednesday (since I don’t go out much to take advantage of the other looks). Thank you for all you do. I have learned a ton from watching your videos.

question though… not matter HOW HARD I TRY i can NEVER EVER get my eyeliner to look even when i wing it out… its either too thick on one side, too long, or just uneven!!!! how on earth can I get it to look even!? :))

This is gorgeous! I love the way the bottom lash line and wing are smudged and faded out! You’ve definitely convinced me to try this look out, thank Leesha!

This is ok. I mean it’s fantastic for what it is since you’re very talented but there’s really nothing special about it. I really wish you would stop trying to play it safe all the time and just go all out and be as creative as you possibly can be.

Why do you have to be so mean to her???I mean try to be nice and appreciate her work,I mean she post this for people to enjoy watching and try doing it themselves. It’s good to be creative! You act so childish!I hope that you understand that your being a stubborn moron! No effence but PLEASE be nice!=D

I wore this look to an art-walk last weekend and it looked great! I just used similar neutrals I had and my Prestige Blackest Black eyeliner pencil and it came out awesome. Thanks so much for the tutorials. I like experimenting with my makeup, but this has really helped me to improve my application and blending techniques. :]

I haven’t taken a look at your site or tuts in awhile, and this one cracked me up. Not because it’s funny, but because this has been my go to look for the last 15 years or so lol. And by that I mean my whole makeup life, and that was before becoming a makeup artist even.
I have done it with a variety or colors, but the basic shapes are what best suits my eyes and face shape.

This is really a very versatile look if you play with the length of the wings and the colors you choose. It’s even amazing as a subtle look with shades of browns and pinks, shimmers and mattes.

    Wow!
I really like Katy Perry, and the way she wears make-up.
Actually, I also likes to listen to her song….( Example: E.T.)
