Nail polish is Illamasqua’s Scorn, LOVE it!!

These are definitely unique, and are pretty cool! I wasn’t sure how I felt about them at first, but once I put them on with the matte black polish it really grew on me. Obviously, I wouldn’t wear this on a daily basis, as I’d be afraid I’d scratch my eyes out or something :) These would be really cool for a photo shoot or a special event. One thing I noticed was that the nail quills were a bit big for my thumbnails, so if you have tiny fingers these probably won’t work out well for you. They are reusable, so if you take care of them when applying and removing (especially if you use the nail sticker pieces that come with) these should last you awhile.

The polish that’s recommended to go with the quills, Scorn, is amazing, like all the Illamasqua polishes I’ve used. It’s a matte Black, opaque in one coat (shown here with two coats, just to make sure it photographed even), and has the slightest dull shine. I love mattes that aren’t flat, like a sharpie, but are like this. sooo gorgeous!!

There is a vid that shows how the guy that designed these applies them. He puts the sticker onto the nail bed, then puts the glue onto the sticker and then sticks down the nail. I think thats such a good idea! putting the sticker between the nail and the glue means less damage to nail and easier to remove!

I would SO get these if I wasn’t so afraid of them. I’m the girl that would end up in the hospital with “nail-related injuries” every time I wore them.

These look so cool! I think my fingers are a bit too tiny for three quills though :(. If not, I’d definitely try them out :D

For some reason, I thought the “bespoke” part would mean they would fit your nails, that they’d have sizes or be custom fit or something. You could probably file down the edges to adjust the quills to your thumbnails, but I’d be hesitant to do so I think.

I also am not so sure about the whole foil tip. Originally they looked like they had metal tips, which I thought was cool and sort of sexy, in a sort of bdsm/dominatrix sort of way. But the fact that it’s a foil overlay sort of spoils it for me, cheapens it maybe? I don’t know. I’m sort of disappointed with these.

Scorn is pretty damn hot, though, I have to admit. I may have to break down and order it.

Huh, you think with a box that size (and I would assume quite the price tag) that the Scorn polish would come WITH the quills… Man, I should be designing these sets! LMAO!
