I-Really-Wasnt-Planning-To-Buy-This Sephora Tarina Tarantino Haul

Today I was out at Whole Foods with Tyler, le BF, which happens to be really close to Sephora. Since it’s winter time, we have been using my favorite lip balm of all time, Jack Black Lip Balm, like it’s going out of style. I wanted to grab another one just for him, because he keeps stealing mine and then they get lost (as all lip balms tend to do) and since he is leaving for AZ on Friday (the boy is DRIVING. 16 hours. he’s crazy!) I figured I should just get him one.

Usually when we go to Sephora, he is asking me every 2 minutes if it’s time to leave yet. He’s not a good shopping buddy in that aspect, that’s for sure, but this time was different. I went straight for the Jack Black display, and he starts saying “Did you see, they sell Tarina Tarantino here! Oh look, you have that MUFE palette!” (yup, he pronounces Makeup Forever “moo-fee”) and so on. He practically dragged me to the Tarina display, which I have looked at a few times but never bought anything from. I used my VIB Giftcard on Saturday online, and they were sold out of the only palette I was interested in, the Aurora Violet Storm Palette.

OF COURSE, my Sephora had it in stock! Thanks to Tyler, I walked out with three things I had no intention of getting. Didn’t expect that to happen :)

Tarina Tarantino Jewel Shadow Palette in Violet Storm
I clearly have been missing out on the awesomeness of Tarina Shadow Palettes. These shadows are super velvety smooth, have great color payoff and are really fun colors :) I had a hard time picking out one! Ultimately chose this one because Tyler and I liked the way it looked on the model for this collection.

Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure in Nude
I’m actually a little mad I didn’t know about these, and even more mad that they photograph like crap! I literally gasped in the store when i swatched these.. they are SOOO sparkly. I was debating getting this one and Crystal, which has a more white sparkle to it. The photos don’t do this justice. I cannot waaait to use it all the time!!

I have never had a pink opal glitter liner! I looove the way this looks plain and over black (it looks WAY more hot pink in person!) I almost bought Black Diamond, and probably will in the near future, because its crazy pretty too!

So there you have it, unintentional haul! :)

Those shadows look so pretty! :) Your boyfriend sounds like my hubby, tehe :) Fortunately, our only sephora is in the mall so he can go look elsewhere. Although he does enjoy looking at all the cologne in sephora… :)

Wow, I usually ignore TT stuff, and I was just at Sephora a couple hours ago! The shadows never really dazzled me, but seeing them swatched totally changes the ballgame. That cobalt blue right in the middle is SICK! And that glitter eyeliner… are you kidding me? How the hell did I miss this?

I like it when bf’s are supportive of their girls wanting to get dolled-up. :) Mine can’t stand shopping with me, let alone go in Sephora, ha ha! He did go in with me to see the Tokidoki display, since he knows I like it so much.

I really like that eyeshadow palette too! I have a Maybelline one that has a similar blue…(which I bought in a weak moment…instead of sticking to my guns about cruelty-free makeup)

That eyeliner is phenomenal. I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to wear hot pink, liner…I might be a little old and pale for it, Lol, but the black might be right up my alley!

Now I want to buy that palette! The colors are so much more vibrant than in the palette, love the color choices too!!! Very practical for me!

Oooh shiny. That’s funny that Tyler knows makeup by name brand. When I get excited about makeup and show my boyfriend he’s like.. yep… it’s makeup..

I have the glitter mist eyeliner and I find it flakes really easily and does not dry well by itself. Have you used this yet? Any suggestions on better ways to use it?
