Healthy Beauty: My Daily (and Delicious) Green Smoothie Recipe! [Video]

Hey Guys!

I wanted to share with you the Green Smoothie recipe I have been using lately. I decided to make a video on it and post it on xSparkage, and I’m so glad a bunch of you are interested in healthy lifestyle videos! I’m definitely someone who is wanting a balance of eating and living healthily, but also being able to indulge every once in awhile. I don’t think I could fully commit to a 100% turnaround with fitness and food, so I’m gonna work on slowly getting myself to a balance that works for me. I’m sure some of you are in the same boat, so I figured this would be helpful to be open about so we can all help each other feel better in how healthy we are!

This recipe is pretty simple, and is full of really good for you things. It’s definitely a meal replacer- its got loads of vitamins, carbs, protein, and the right amount (and right kind) of fat so that it is a complete meal. It’s great to drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach because it will help rev up your body and get you going and ready for the day. The fact that all of the ingredients are blended means it gets in to your system faster and easier.

Ingredients:

  • Baby Spinach
  • Frozen Pineapple
  • Frozen Mango
  • Coconut Water
  • Lemon Juice
  • Regular Water
  • Protein Powder
  • Ground Flaxseed
  • Green Superfood Powder

Feel free to replace any ingredient with something similar if you need to! Any type of fruit will work here- apples work great at masking any green flavor, as to berries (they will make your smoothie an ugly brown color, but it still tastes good, haha!) You can also add another healthy fat if you don’t have ground flaxseed, like nut butter or oil (avocado oil is my new favorite thing!). I hope that you guys like it, and please, let me know how you make your green smoothies if you make them any differently!!

    nice one!
My health smoothie is similar, it is:

    2 tsp ground flaxseed
    440g canned pineapple in juice
    1 cup soy milk
    1/2 frozen mango
1/3 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

It is super healthy and isn’t green, but a lovely pink!

Love it. You should definitely do more of these! I take the same green stuff, but make an orange dreamsicle type smoothie with the orange flavored one. It isn’t as healthy since it lacks the other greens.

Regular consumption of green smoothies forms a good habit of eating greens. After a few weeks of drinking green smoothies, most people start to crave and enjoy eating more greens. Eating enough greens is often a problem with many people, especially children.Need ideas for what to put in your green smoothie? Find an expert advice at Online USA Doctors.

yum i am going to have to try coconut water and lemon juice in mine! i just bought a nutribullet this week so i am now smoothie-ing every day (as opposed to once a week or so). my recipe is usually some variation of:
    baby kale/mixed greens
frozen fruit mix (strawberries, pineapple, mango, and peach/papaya)
fresh oj (the kind you buy in the produce section, not the “regular” oj section)
garden of life raw protein powder
i have now started adding flaxseed, coconut oil, and pumpkin seed

    yay for green smoothies!
