Smile Whitening Light System brings dentist-quality whitening technology into the home for do-it-yourself convenience and value. You can now perform your own customized, light-assisted teeth whitening treatments anytime, anywhere! Smile Whitening Light System was specifically engineered to boost the stain-fighting power of our patented whitening ampoules. Used together, you can achieve a visibly whiter smile in just one sitting!

The lightweight, elegantly shaped device is easy to hold and the detachable and washable mouthpiece fits comfortably between lips, helping the light reach all visible tooth surfaces. A built-in timer lets you know when each pass is over–three passes are one treatment.

Smile Whitening Light System was scientifically designed to deliver the optimal range of light wavelengths at the right power and placement to efficiently activate the whitening ingredient in the ampoules. Stains are visibly reduced in as little as 30 minutes. The device plus ampoules can be used every two weeks to keep your teeth white!

I’ve tried a lot of whitening products, and this was definitely the most unique! I’ve never had my teeth professionally whitened, but I have tried lots of Crest Whitestrips, and the regular GoSmile whitening products.
To use this, you brush your teeth, pat your teeth dry with a tissue, then use one of the Whitening Ampoules and put the  Whitening gel on your teeth, turn on the Smile Whitening Light, and place the top of it inside your lips so the light hits your teeth. You do this for ten minutes, and then the light will Beep, signaling you to repeat the process again with a new Whitening Ampoule. You do this a total of three times, and it takes about a half hour.

The first thing I noticed was that the Whitening Ampoule gel kind of burns your gums when you apply it to your teeth. It’s not anything really painful, more of a burn you’d get from eating some really strong peppermint gum or something super minty. Keeping the light in your mouth doesn’t hurt, but it is kinda awkward looking, so I’m gonna recommend you do this when you’re not expecting to see anyone (you can’t talk, either, and you don’t wanna laugh, so I’d recommend being alone!)

One downside to this that is inevitable is the amount of spit your mouth produces. When I went to do the second round of whitening, I was kinda grossed out by the amount of spit that was inside the light (gross, I know, but It has to be said!) It’s not a huge deal once you get over the shock factor if you’re not expecting it, you just rinse the light, pat it dry, pat your teeth dry, and repeat the first steps of applying the gel and using the light.

Something I definitely did like about this is there is really virtually no sensitivity problems, other than the initial minty-burn from the gel. A few months ago I bought the Crest Whitestrips Advance, and actually had to stop using them after only a few days because they hurt my teeth so much, and I’ve never had problems with products making my teeth sensitive!

The pack comes with enough Whitening Ampoules for 4 treatments, and they recommend doing this once every 2 weeks, but it can be done once a week. They sell refills of the Whitening Ampoules as well, so you can continue the treatment if you wanted extra white teeth! Whitening once every 2 weeks seems a lot more convenient to me than having to wear something like WhiteStrips for two weeks.

Another downside- and this is a big one- is the price. I didn’t know the price of this when I first used it, but this retails for $198, or $178 if you use the coupon below. I think thats fairly expensive, I think you could probably find deals where you could get your teeth professionally whitened for that price, however, I’m assuming that would leave your teeth feeling much, much more sensitive than this.

Is it worth it? I think this would be worth it for people who have an event they’re going to and need their teeth whitened right away, or if you have sensitive teeth. Most whitening products out there take 1-2 weeks for results to show, so I do think it’s impressive that you can see results after just a half hour.

Available here from GoSmile. If you enter coupon code feb10 you get 10% off your order, as well.

these types of things dont work as well as the gel bleaching that you buy at the dentist does. My dads a dentist and the gel lasts longer. You get trays that were molded from your teeth and put the gel in them and put them in overnight and the next day theres a HUGE difference and it lasts for like 3 months depending on how much coffee and staining foods/drinks you consume. My dad sells the tray and a case of bleaching (which has about 6 containers of 3 gel pacakges) for only $50 more than this was and the results are SO much better.

Meh if I was going to spend that much money I’d go have it done at the dentist. I tried the regular Go Smile ampules before and they didn’t work well either.

I know you said that you this would be good for sensitive teeth when it comes to a pain level, but how do you think this product is on tooth enamel? I know all whitening products have an effect of wearing away tooth enamel (and trust me, I came close to wearing all of mine away when I went through a teeth whitening phase a few years back), but do you think this product is better than other whitening products for your enamel?

I rly liked Crest White Strips, I haven’t used them in a long time but w/ 2 weeks of use my teeth were super white as stayed that way for about a year or two.

I see a definite lightening. In your opinion, can this same level be of whitening be achieved using the goo at the dentist? I mean, I do see the effect, but it seems rather pricey if I can get goo from the dentist for thirty bucks, (providing you already have trays). I guess I’m asking a question about something you haven’t tried, but I do see a positive result. Show us future pictures and I might be persuaded to leave the dental bleach, (only used it once), and go for an in-house system.

I’m very afraid of sensitivity problems! It’s awful! My friend did the Whitening System while living in america (here it’s expensive), but she experienced sensitivity, I’m glad you didn’t!

I think your teeth look great and this happens to actually be a great price! I had my teeth professionally whitened at a dentist years ago for $650 using the Zoom system. I’ve never seen anything offered for less money through a dentist. It worked well but induced definite sensitivity for a few days. Now I just use whitening toothpastes and what not, but I after seeing these results from you I wouldn’t hesitate to try this product!

This looks amazing. But the price is scary. But I guess worth it in the long run.

I also used the Crest Advanced Whitestrips( currently still using)
After the first day I def experienced teeth sensitivity.
Here in NY its been very windy, and walking to work I literally had to shut my mouth bcuz the wind would hurt my teeth. I also couldn’t eat too well nor drink coffee…everything hurt my teeth. But that was only on the first day , they haven’t hurt since thankfully. And after first use I saw a difference. (:
Not as dramatic as this though.

I definitely see a difference in your teeth, they were already quite white to begin with, but I see crevices where the whitestrips gel may not have been able to get to. Where you can concentrate the amount of whitening gel where you feel you need it most with the ampule it really got in there and the tiny amount of staining you did still have is now gone as far as I see. I used the original gosmile kit when it first came out and I was pleased with the results. I have pretty white teeth already myself but I would invest in this to get the ultra white you seem to have gotten from the system. Thanks for the review!
