Fighting Dry Skin and KP + $100 Product Giveaway

Post Sponsored by AmLactin Skin Care.

For as long as I can remember, I have dealt with dry skin issues, specifically on my hands and feet, but often I will look at my arms and feel like they could really use a pick-me-up; they will look scaly and dry, not really a look I’m going for!

My husband Paul has a similar issue, but his is concentrated around his upper arms, and we recently realized it is what is known as Keratosis Pilaris.

Writing out a medical term like that makes it sound crazier than it is, though! It’s also known as β€œKP” or β€œChicken Skin”. This is when keratin builds up under the skin and can cause rough patches and bumpy skin around the upper arms, thighs, and cheeks. It’s totally harmless, but can be frustrating if you want to wear sleeveless tops or show off your arms (not that Paul is too worried about that, haha).

While there is no cure for KP, AmLactin has a product line that specifically helps manage the dry skin associated with those bumps and gives your skin a smooth, soft appearance and feel. While I don’t have KP myself, I have been using the AmLactin body lotion because it gently exfoliates the skin and leaves it looking and feeling super smooth. It’s super lightweight, unscented, and sinks into the skin really fast, which is always a plus in my book as I’m not a big fan of tacky lotions that take forever to dry!

We have been using the Amlactin Restoring Body Lotion on Paul’s upper arms for the past week, and have seen a noticeable difference in the smoothness of his skin. I know it is something that secretly bothers him, so I was happy to be able to find a product to help him with it!

For me personally, my favorite thing to use has been the AmLactin Foot Cream. As I mentioned, my feet tend to get really dry and not so cute (Good old Arizona weather means you can wear flip flops year round- While that may be the easy solution, it definitely means you need to take care of your feet!) My favorite thing is to apply a thick layer of the AmLactin foot cream right before bed, put on some socks, and sleep with it on. This allows it to really soak in and I wake up with super soft feet!

You can check out AmLactin on Amazon or their Facebook Page.

I too would love to try the Restoring Lotion you’ve found success in for Paul. I’m getting married in a little under 6 months, and the thought of having KP, red, bumpy arms in my photos is pretty much haunting me! I’ve tried various products, but they came along with a horrible egg-like smell. I’m excited to hear that Amlactin is odor free!

KP is very common in my family but mine runs down most of my arms. It’s always embarrassing to get questions about the bumps so I always feel like I need to cover up my arms. I’ve used the regular amlactin in the past with success and would love to try the ultra hydrating version.

My husband has KP, and I have really bad eczema year long. These products sound amazing.
I took a look at their website, and I am most interested in their restoring body lotion:

I like that it claims to be long lasting. With most moisturizers I find my skin to be dry again like an hour after application, so it would be nice to find a lotion that doesn’t do that.

    Thanks for the giveaway :)

I’ve had KP for as long as I can remember. In high school, I was ashamed to wear anything sleeveless and avoided it at all costs. In my early 20’s, I decided I was not longer going to let KP prevent me from wearing what I want and I’ve learned to accept my skin for what it is, I would love to try the AmLactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion and see if I could finally have soft, smooth skin on my arms! It would be awesome!

I have always had terrible dry skin and rashes and bumps and I’ve always been extremely self conscious and shy about it. It’s so hard to even be around friends and family or even have any friends when you have no self esteem and never want to leave the house. I would love to try the restoring lotion to see if it would make a difference.

Does that mean that you should buy a protection plan on your own laptop.
Top mini laptops If it could be the latter, then look at
