Face of the day: June 1st

Something I have been really slacking at lately is doing my makeup.

Now, I work from home, so it’s not really surprising that I don’t want to do my makeup to sit and work from my computer, or do it to run to the grocery store. That being said, it’s making me forget why I started applying makeup in the first place- for FUN!

I’m making it a goal of mine to post a lot more beauty looks on the blog. Just playing around, trying out products that got put in drawers never to be seen again. In addition to not really wearing makeup anymore, I also get stuck using the same products over and over. I gotta break out of this habit!

This look was a result of using a Sleek MakeUP palette I had never used before that had a ridiculously badass coral shade in it that was just begging to be used. I really love red tones with blue eyes so this was a winner in my book! :)

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Urban Decay Asphyxia 24/7 Eye Pencil
Sleek MakeUP iDivine PPQ Palette (coral, burgundy, light pink and turquoise shades)
Inglot Matte Beige Shade (i can’t remember the number but a matte beige is a matte beige)
Urban Decay Perversion 24/7 Liquid Liner
Tarina Tarantino Glitter Liner
Urban Decay Chaos 24/7 Eye Pencil
Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara

Tarte Tipsy Amazonian Clay Blush
Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Cargo Evangeline PlantLove Lipstick

What I did when I was suck it a rut of using the same things in the same way (often browns and beiges) was to create a “Colorful Wednesday”, where I had to use brights in different ways. Maybe you could do something alike? A theme day, if you catch my drift. <:

I have a very similar skin tone as you and have been looking into getting a bronzer but I am hopelessly lost. What do you recommend since our coloring is so similar?

This is a great post – simple, and with pictures of products you used, that way if anyone wants to create the look but doesn’t have the same stuff, they can find dupes. Aaawwweeessooooomeee!

love this look. i’ve been trying to use more reds and oranges on my eyes but i feel like they always make me look tired or bloodshot. maybe i need to line more thickly like you did.
