Color Club Wicked Sweet Scented Nail Polish Collection: Swatches, Photos

Color Club has a new collection coming out for summer that features bright polishes that actually have a fruity scent to them once they dry. They remind me of those old scented markers everyone would use as a kid :) The scents are all very sweet and remind me of pez or another type of fruit candy.

Get Your Lem-On: Three Coats. Neon yellow with green shimmer. This one was probably one of the most sheer. Obviously from the name, it has a lemony scent!

The Lime Starts Here: Three Coats. Creamy Neon Green. Lime scent. I love the color of this, but you can see even with three coats the nail line still shows through. I think a lot of these would work best over a white polish base coat.

I Always Get My Man-Darin: Three Coats. Light neon orange with a blue shimmer. By far the sheerest of the bunch, which is a bummer as it’s probably my favorite color! I don’t know if I own another orange with a blue shimmer, especially in that shade of orange. so pretty!!

Yum Gum: Two coats. Neon light pink. Bubble Gum scent. I love love love the color of this one, and the fact that it is so opaque after only two coats. The scent, though, is what really throws me off. It has a very strong bubble gum scent, and it reminds me very much of the anesthesia that you get as a kid at the dentist that they put over your whole mouth. Anyone else ever get that. Ugh it gives me shivers hahah

Raspberry Rush: Three Coats. Gorgeous blue based fuschia, its a bit darker in person than shown. cream. Raspberry scent.

Gimme a Grape Big Kiss: Three Coats. Creamy warm purple, but a little darker than shown. Grape scent.

Wicked Sweet: Three Coats. Beautiful shimmery mid-tone blue (again, a bit darker in real life) with a fun sky blue shimmer. Blueberry/blue raspberry scented. Probably my favorite scent of the bunch, but the color doesn’t seem very unique for Color Club, but I may just be mixing it up with another brand.

Overall I find this collection to be really cool and fun, I’ve never seen a scented nail polish collection before! The colors are all very fun and summery, and though some are pretty sheer I feel like if you just used one coat of a white nail polish before using any of these, it’d really bump up the color with less coats of polish.

Love the neon light pink colour. Yes, coloUr. Sorry, Australian language :) Unfortunately, bubblegum spells DO remind me of anaesthesia from the dentist. xx

I’m 100% on board with most of these colors. I think the scented nail polish thing is beyond odd, though.

Revlon has a set of scented out right now, too. Alot of the scents smell delicious, but some smell like old lady. Haha and all gorgeous colors. And I can’t stand that dentist anesthesia smell either. Barf!

Great pictures! The colours are so vivid and bright. I love I Always Get My Man-Darin but it looks too sheer at three coats.

Did you find the smells to be too overpowering or was it just right?

for most it really wasnt too much, raspberry rush is on the strong side, and yum gum is too much for me.

Rimmel had a range of fruit-scented nail polishes and coordinating lipglosses in the UK about twelve years ago. They STANK! These sound like they’ll be nicer – and I love the pink and purple shades.

Have you noticed if these peel off super fast yet? All scented polishes I’ve bought before from different brands seem to peel off like plastic, it’s weird!

Revlon does have a line of scented nail polishes. The only bummer about scented nail polish is you can’t smell it anymore after you add a top coat. Thus the nail polish doesn’t have that professional look and it doesn’t last nearly as long as it could.

Scented nail polishes were sort of “in” ten years ago, though it may have been just a clear top coat sort of deal. I never really cared for them too much. I would rather fragarance my hands with lotion.

these colors are so fun! and i would totally wear one different color on each nail too! [and i’m 26, LOL]

This is such a cool idea!!! The worst part about nail polishes for me (and my guy friends), is the strong odor. Does the polish itself smell like the scent or is that only after it dries?
