One thing I am constantly asked about is regarding the quality of expensive products from the department store versus inexpensive products from the drugstore. It can be really easy to get in the mindset that a higher pricetag automatically equals a better product, especially when it comes to skincare, but often that is not the case! There are many amazing quality products that cost a fraction of the price of some of the super presteige lines, and often work just as well, if not better- and Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is one of those products.
Olay is a brand that makes me think of classic, timeless beauty. The first time I ever used an Olay product was at my Grandma’s house when I was just a kid- she always had the body wash and day moisturizer in her bathroom and I remember always using it when I would stay the night. I was really excited when I was asked to post about their Micro-Sculpting Cream, as I have tried a lot of Olay skincare and am always really impressed. In fact, the Good Housekeeping Institute tested this cream in an independent study, and found that it outperforms 10 top prestige creams- even one that has a price tag of $440! I have been guilty in the past of associating price with quality, and it’s something that I know has lead me to spend a lot of money on a product that didn’t do much for me, so it’s really interesting to see that this affordable cream can work better than creams that are almost 18 times the price!
Before- Freshly washed face
After: Healthy, Moisturized Skin!
The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream has a main focus on anti-aging, but is also incredibly hydrating and firming. The Good Housekeeping Institute found that after only three hours, Olay moisturized better than all other products tested (400% better, in fact, than that $440 cream!). Hydration is also increased by 50% over a 24-hour period, and this is all done with a cream that feels lightweight and sinks in to the skin super fast (This is SUPER important to me, as I really dislike thick, tacky creams but am always looking for a lot of hydration in my moisturizers). It also includes firming and plumping ingredients that help to improve skins texture and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles- something that you can start noticing from Day 1.
This product fits perfectly in to my skincare routine, as I am in my late twenties and anti-aging is everything at this age! I love multi-beneficial products, and because this cream works to hydrate, firm, and reduce fine lines and texture, it works great as a day and night cream. Getting all of these benefits in a cream that has an affordable price tag is always a huge plus in my book!
You can pick up the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream for $26.99 from Olay.
