Birchbox “Just Because” Box Review
A few weeks ago, I did a review on Birchbox, a company that sends its subscribers a monthly box filled with all sorts of deluxe-sized beauty samples for $10 a month (you can see that review here!). Each month they have new beauty products, generally focusing around a theme (The box I showed in that review was April, and so it themed around eco-friendly beauty products!). Recently they have come out with a “Just Because” box, that can be bought from their website at anytime, and unlike their monthly program you know exactly what comes in the box before you buy it.
Here’s a rundown of what the box contains:
- Letterpress Card from Tiny Prints
- Jouer Creme Eyeshadow in Chiffon
- Lipstick Queen Lipgloss
- Shu Uemura Essence Absolue
- Papabubble Candy
- Quince & Apple Preserves
- NEST Indian Block Print Coasters
This set is really cute and world work as a great gift for someone if you know they like beauty but aren’t sure exactly what to get. The Shu Uemura Essence Absolute is an absolutely amazing styling oil, I cant get over how great it is for my hair!
The Lipstick Queen lip gloss is a gorgeous color:
It’s not sticky either, which is awesome! This gloss will definitely earn a place in my go-to glosses (when I choose to wear them, that is!)
The Papabubble candy is great too, they’re a nice fruit flavored hard candy.
The Jouer Eyeshadow is a beautiful champagne color that I LOVE! This is a full size product too, which is awesome :)
I also love the fact that it includes the coasters. For this reason:
This box is a bit more expensive than their regular boxes- it retails at $38. At first I thought this was a little high, but then I saw that the Jouer Creme Eyeshadow is a full-sized product and retails at $20 alone, and the Lipstick Queen gloss, also a full-sized product, retails at $18, so it’s kind of like buying those two and getting a bunch of free samples.
This is available from Birchbox right now! What do you think? Would you buy this/gift it?
