Beautifully Disney Midnight Hour Eyeshadow Palette

As promised, here is the first review of the Beautifully Disney Collection, a makeup line exclusively available at Disney parks! This palette is called Midnight Hour, and is a 4-pan eyeshadow quad themed around Disney Villians.

The packaging on this palette is really cool, with silhouettes of three villians- The Evil Queen, Maleficent, and Ursula (who, as much as I love, doesn’t have the best silhouette.. she kinda looks like a dude!)

BDmidnighthour 1BDmidnighthour 3BDmidnighthour 4The packaging is made of cardboard, and doesn’t have a mirror inside. I don’t find this a problem though, because the palette lies flat when opened, which would make the mirror pretty useless.

The first shade is a satin cool beige. It’s very close to my skin tone (just a bit lighter, mostly thanks to the bit of shimmer in it)

Next is a midnight blue. Color payoff here is okay, not amazing, but I’m going to put that to the fact that if this shade was as pigmented as I personally would like, a lot of people wouldn’t know how to use it.

Shimmery light silver. Great color payoff.

Charcoal. Not quite black, definitely a more easy-to-wear shade.

Note: All swatches are without an eyeshadow base, on clean skin.

Overall this palette isn’t bad. The pigmentation could be better, but I can understand why it isn’t for the general population that isn’t makeup obsessed :) The shadow texture and quality is great, and is easy to blend and play with. I wish there was a purple here, maybe instead of the blue. Purple eyeshadow screams villain to me, I can’t be the only one!
Oh, and FYI- these are cruelty free and hypoallergenic.

Available for $27.95 from Disney Parks.

I live close to Disney World. Was there a certain park you bought this from? Magic Kingdom? Epcot? Maybe Downtown Disney?

Thanks for posting this review. I’ve heard of this makeup line from Disney before but I’ve had a really hard time finding any information or pictures of them. Thanks for the review! I get really excited about anything Disney; combine that with my makeup obsession and I’m seriously stoked!

You’re right, villains need a purple and a green. All Disney villains are associated with at least one of those colours
