Around The World Series: Morocco (Kiehls Aromatic Blends Orange Leaf & Lychee Fragrance)

Orange Flower Lychee Range

Kiehls new Aromatic Blends Collection includes four fragrances: Orange Leaf & Lychee, Fig Leaf & Sage, Vanilla & Cedarwood, and Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit. The Aromatic Blends collection has formulated these fragrances to be a truer rendition of the ingredients involved, using high quality key ingredients to get a scent that really reflects the areas they are inspired by.
For the release of these fragrances, I’ve teamed up with Kiehls to bring you four looks inspired by the fragrances themselves and the areas around the world they were inspired from.

Orange Leaf & Lychee: Morocco
Fig Leaf & Sage: Provance
Vanilla & Cedarwood- Uganda
Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit- Japan

Each scent comes in three forms- A fragrance, body wash, and body lotion.

For my first tutorial, I chose to do a look inspired by the Orange Leaf & Lychee fragrance, as well as the location it is inspired by, Morocco!
I really love the Orange Leaf & Lychee Fragrance. The scent itself is based off of the Bitter Orange tree that is native to Morocco. The flowers from this tree produce a more pure orange scent than you may be used to from other fragrances. This scent is more floral then I usually like in fragrances (I’m a fruity, sweet fragrance girl) but it’s still sweet. It’s not at all like old lady scents I associate floral fragrances with! :)

When researching for this look, I found a LOT of bright colored fabrics used in Moroccan culture. Perfect! I decided to do a look that was bold and bright and a bit different than what I usually do. I also wanted to incorporate pinks and oranges into the look to represent Orange and Lychee scents from the fragrance.

Leesha, you are seriously talented. If I ever tried a black eyeshadow on my eye I reckon I’d end up looking like a panda. A lot of respect from me goes out to you! x

I loove fragrance products and the glitter you used! I wonder if it is nail polish solvent resistant.

The scent sounds really nice. The eye makeup is ok, but I think it’s bit dramatic costume-ish as opposed to what I think I’d like more to be a dramatic/exotic look for Morocco. I like it, but I can see this look more if you were being on stage. This is all just my opinion though & not a criticism, because it’s your blog/Youtube and you can do what ever you want. I’m just mentioning it because I’m guessing you might not always want people to tell you how much they love everything you do and sometimes give you their honest opinion, but be nice about it. I know you love dramatic looks, but this one is just seems a bit too much to me.

PS: The more I look at this, the more I think it’s just the black in the crease that I’m not a fan of. I like defining the crease with some looks, but this one looks a bit like it’s meant for actors in the theater. Otherwise, it’s really a very pretty look.

I think I might try this, this weekend only with out the crazy dramatic cut-crease and falsies. Looks wonderful on you, but not so much for everyday wear.

  6. Conor says:

I love when you do your bright and crazy eyes. Always makes me think “I’m going to wear that for this!” even though I don’t have the skills or makeup to :). I totally love this look! It’s one of my favorites :).
