The Hunger Games Series- District 5 (Power/Electricity)

I have to say, by far, district 5 was the hardest tutorial for me so far. I had a lot of ideas on how do go about it, including lightening bolts and glitter and sparks and wires, but every idea i tried out on my face I absolutely hated. It’s really hard to pull creativity out of nowhere.. sometimes when you aren’t getting anywhere, you just have to sit back and wait for it. unfortunately when you put yourself on a schedule, and lots of people are waiting for your next look, it’s kinda difficult!

I filmed a look on Thursday and decided later that I didn’t love it, so I redid it to be a more wearable alternative. I think this look works great as a going-out look.. Tyler played a DJ set in San Antonio last night and I wore it to that, danced my but off, and it still looked great when I got home :)

    Omg!! The polish you’re wearing is that the new China Glaze Colours from the Capitol in Electrify? Lols. That’s funny that you co-ordinated you polish with your tutorial… I feel like I should go check your other tutorials to see if you’v e done that in those ones too!!

    This look is SO pretty. Your last couple looks were really extreme (but still gorgeous) so I actually like the fact that this is a little more wearable. It gives us that much more variety for theme parties and such.

    By the way, do you have a profile on Makeupbee.com? I saw your District 6 look there today and I’m always a little skeptical of profiles that turn up from popular makeup artists on other sites until I get a confirmation from them directly, haha.

    I liked the first one better :\ the one with the yellow rays under your eyes. I miss you being more artsy with your makeup, your style has definitely changed.

      It sounds like you like the more extreme looks that Leesha does because, to you, they represent a more artistic and creative style that you’ve come to associate with her. I agree to some extent, those are the looks I like the best too because they’re the most different from what everyone else is doing and those types of looks are what got me following Leesha to begin with. However, I don’t think Leesha’s style has changed, she just did a really extreme and beautiful look for District 6. I think she’s just been under a little more pressure as of late and it’s kind of hard to just pull creativity out of nowhere. She said she wasn’t happy with the first look and that’s a really hard to thing to just ignore for a lot of people (I wouldn’t be able to let it go, myself), so this look was a little bit last minute for her.
      I’m not trying to start anything with you, you don’t seem like you meant anything negative at all by what you said, so if you find any of this confrontational or offensive I apologize for that. I guess I’m just saying that doing looks for different types of fans or under different circumstances doesn’t really mean you’ve changed your style, it just means you’ve changed your target audience for that day. I’m sure Leesha will do a look soon that you’ll love for the creativity and artistic value (she still has the Capitol coming up, can’t be toned down at all with that).

    This look reminds me of an eyeshadow I wanted to suggest to you…there is a new eyeshadow set out from Wet N Wild and I randomly decided to pick up the black a few weeks ago. It is SUPER dark and sparkly, and I was told it works great as eyeliner if you use it wet (though I haven’t tried it). I haven’t tested how long it wears for (I only used a little bit for the crease & outer corner on top of UD 24/7 shadow pencils, but I put my makeup on around 4 PM and it lasted till I got home at midnight). What I’ve seen of it is super awesome so far and I thought you should check it out. I’m sure it’s available at drugstores, but I found it in the makeup section at KMart and each color is only $2. Just thought I’d mention it so you could check it out and maybe do a review for those who can’t afford super expensive makeup. ^-^
