A few weeks back, I was browsing at Sephora and saw this kit called Fabulips from Bliss. I am a sucker for kits like this, and have never tried one for lips so I decided to pick it up and test it out! I love how Bliss always has cute punish names for their products, it makes it feel a lot more fun :) Check out my review below!

The kit comes with four products that work in four re-steps- Refresh, Retexturize, Rejuvinate, Replenish.

Refresh: This is a “lip cleaner” of sorts, it’s a foaming gel that works to clean your lips of any product before you use any other products. Not gonna lie, it’s kinda weird for me to use a product like this just for my lips! It doesn’t really foam very much, but does leave your lips feeling very clean.

Retexturize: AMAZINGLY scented lip scrub! This has a Vanilla & Orange flavor to it, and smells (and tastes!) great. The sugar crystals in this scrub are really fine granules, and it also includes almond and walnut shells. A little goes a long way with this! I use it on dry lips first, work it in with my finger, and then add a bit of water on my finger to get a finer exfoliation, then rinse off and dry my lips.

Rejuvenate: A volumizing, minty lip plumper. Usually I haaaaate lip plumpers. I don’t need them, and they feel like bee stings and it’s not worth my time or pain! This particular one doesn’t sting or burn at all, and has a really great minty flavor.. it’s very sweet, more like after-dinner mints than like toothpaste on the mint scale :) It also gives lips a suuuuuper glossy, wet look that I really like!

Replenish: I don’t know why this is the fourth on the list, I put it on before the lip plumper, as that is too glossy for this to go on over! I really like this lip balm, its very lightweight and incredibly smooth. I find that generally I don’t like lip balms that come in a waxy stick form like this, because you usually have to apply a TON to get it on because it’s not soft to apply just a little, and on top of that your lips feel waxy and icky and don’t feel like they’re being moisturized as much as they feel like theres just a coat of something keeping them from getting drier at that exact second (aka its not healing, only keeping it from getting worse). This lip balm feels great, and I can see a lot of people liking it that don’t like thicker balms (like my beloved jack black lip balm). The only thing with this is it is VERY soft, I had to start keeping it in the fridge because it was starting to almost melt in the container, and it’s winter! In the summer I can see this turning into a puddle of goo, so keep it somewhere cold (and then its doubly refreshing!)

Here’s my lips after all the steps.. The gloss factor seems so low here! It’s really a lot more with the lip plumper :)
What I love about Fabulips:
- I’ve never seen a lip set like this, it’s usually just a scrub and a lip balm, so it’s nice to have all bases covered.
- It’s a cute gift idea
- love the packaging and name!
- All the products worked really well and left my lips feeling and looking smooth and lush.
What I didn’t love about Fabulips:
- What I’m sure a lot of you didn’t- the price! This is Expensive for a lip kit, in my opinion! This averages each product at just over $11 each, and the box says separately they would be over $18 each! Granted, the products all work really well, I just can see a lot of people having a problem with spending that much.
Overall, I’m glad I picked this up. This is a great product for anyone who regularly has dry, flaky lips, and If you have issues making matte and satin lipsticks look nice and smooth on, then I totally recommend this as well. It’s nice every once in awhile to go beyond just applying lip balm and really give lips the full treatment, and you definitely get that from this product!
Available for $45 from Sephora.
