It’s not really a secret that I am obsessed with miniature versions of basically anything. From kitchen tools (I use mini spatulas on the daily, and I even have a mini pie maker) to beauty items, I just love small things. I think with things like beauty and bath products I prefer it because It gives me more things to try for a cheaper price. For example, when sephora has their gift sets during the holidays with a bunch of smaller sized products, I always make sure to get a couple so I can try a vast amount of products without spending a TON of money!
Something that has become increasingly popular with brands is Subscription boxes (i.e. Birchbox) Where every month or so, you will get a package that has sample sizes of 4-5 products to try out for a decently low price. Fortune Cookie Soap is jumping on this bandwagon with what they are calling “The Soap Box”, which will be a quarterly subscription box that will be full of upcoming products. I got to get a preview of the first box, available March 1st, so check out below to see what’s inside!

Each box will contain 8 miniature sized products that for the most part aren’t available in that cute small size on their own. The boxes may have different items in them, but each item will be a different fragrance that will be in an upcoming release. These are packaged in a small USPS mailer with tissue paper.
Here is what the first box includes-

Milk Bath in Sweet Tart Martini (2 oz): smells exactly how you would imagine! Reminds me of a lemon sweet tart, very sour-sweet.

Bubbling Bath Crystals in Berried Treasure (2oz): This scent smelled a little more perfumey than I would have guessed from the name. Not for me, but I can see a lot of people liking it!

OCD Hand Sanitizer in Justin’s Hard Lemonade (1oz): Love the name, hahah. I’m one of those people who always likes to have hand sanitizer when I’m not home, as I really don’t like touching things like metal (and getting the smell on my hands) weird, I know, but this is the perfect size for my car or a purse. This specific scent does remind me of a kitchen cleaner when I put it on, but once the alcohol smell clears away its a very fresh lemony scent. it does leave a bit of glitter on the hands.. not enough to be overkill, but my palms were definitely glimmering!

Body Wash in Wake me Up, Before You Mango (1oz): I seriously love the names they come up with! This smells AWESOME. Oh my gosh, I am in love. This right here is a reason I LOVE little mini sets like this, because out of everything here, this is what I would buy full size (and I would never have known that without this set!) This smells like fresh, juicy gummy bears. Not those gross hard ones that are at the grocery store, but ones you can only get at candy stores or specialty stores online. I want to eat this!
Voted Best Ever (bu us) Lotion in Granny Panties (1oz): I don’t even know with the name on this one, I’ll have to ask them what inspired it hahaha. This is a very light, floral, fresh scent that has sweet pea fragrance in it. I really like this, and I usually can’t do floral scents. The lotion itself is nice and light, sinks into the skin within seconds and leaves you instantly moisturized.

Whipped Cream in Hawaian Ice (1oz): Oooh i was excited to see this. Hawaiian Ice Shampoo Bar is probably my favorite scent EVER, and now you’re telling me I can cover my whole body in it? YES. This scent screams tropical. Fresh cut pineapple, a bit of coconut.. amazing. Their Whipped Cream is a much thicker lotion than the one mentioned above, and ultra luxurious. I love this!
Fortune Cookie Soap in Spring Break in Cancun: This is where the brand’s name came from, if you couldn’t tell! These are so cute to have on display in the bathroom in a little soap dish :) This particular scent isn’t really my cup of tea, I can never do scents that are supposed to be beachy.. they smell too inscency, which is an insta-headache for me! If you’ve never gotten a Fortune Cookie Soap before, OF COURSE they have to come with a fortune!
..this was mine. it’s very deep and meaningful.

Mini Gelato Fizzy in Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini: I propose that FCS start selling these in half-dozen quantities, so you can just pop one into the tub instead of breaking up the huge ones (because really, who needs to use a WHOLE mondo gelato fizzy in one bath?) These are so so so cute, they look like little candies with the wrapper! This particular one smells like a lemon bar. It’s not nearly as in-your-face lemony as the hand sanitizer; its much more subdued and smells like a baked yummy treat!

the box also came with this cute flower for decoration, and it really ties it all together!
What I love about this subscription box:
- 8 mini sized products for $19.99, shipping included, is a great deal and a fun way to try out new products you may never have thought to before.
- Each box contains a $10 off coupon towards your next purchase, so if you like something from the box, you can get it for full size even cheaper!
- Awesome gift for basically anyone
- All different products and scents, so there is bound to be something for everyone
- Soap Boxes ship out 2 weeks prior to new products being launched on the website, so you sort of get a sneak preview of new items
- The Soap Box comes out quarterly, and if you sign up you will be charged just before your next box ships, so you don’t have to worry about signing up for the box each time (and you can cancel your subscription at any time if you want to quit!)
What I didn’t love about this subscription box:
- I understand why it doesn’t, but I wish that the products came in their own separate box, not just in the mailer. Once you open the mailer, you can’t really close it again, and I wanted somewhere to put these so they all stayed together (plus I’m a sucker for cute packaging)
These will be available in limited quantities for purchase March 1st until sold out (and then a wait list will start). If this is something you think you’d be interested in, I would definitely check out Fortune Cookie Soap’s Website that day and sign up!
