Today I have some photos of the MAC Glitter & Ice collection to share with you! I recently did a video review of all the MAC Holiday Items I have, but we all know a picture’s worth a thousand words :) I included the video after the jump cut, but I hope you enjoy the photos and swatches!

Apologies for no lip swatches, it recently got kinda cold here unexpectedly and my lips are not ready for macro shots!

Overall- There’s a lot of pretty in this collection, but the only things that really stood out to me are the two silver lip colors. They are unique, but in no way overwhelming and totally wearable! I also like the red lip colors, but as I said before, it’s not really a unique color, especially for a holiday collection (then again, I suppose holiday=traditional anyways!) So, my vote goes for the lip colors in this collection. :)

    Anyone else feel like the packaging looks a bit cheap? I love the idea of the snow globes on the eyeshadows, but the colors aren’t anything I don’t already have. I don’t need anything from this, except s Such Flare. Seems I just can’t have too many shades of red.

      I don’t think it necessarily looks cheap, but I feel like MAC is getting lazy with packaging designs this year. Compared to older christmas collections, this packaging is meh. Hell even last years wasn’t to great either. And you would think that since they raised prices on all of their stuff last year they could afford cuter packaging. =/

      I went into the store the other day and I had a look at the colours, you’re right. The packaging even FEELS cheap compared to the normal black packaging they bring out.

    glitter and ice really is such a poetic name, it could be the beginning or end of haiku. I like the silvers, I am always a fan of MAC’s holiday collections an d firm believer in wearing them year round.

    The red lipstick and the paint pot are beautiful, but those brushes…ugh, they look SO cheap

    Wasnt the Spanking Rich Dazzleglass part of this collection??? I LOVE that color! I was going to get love alert but opted for Sugarimmed instead. Its way more versatile

    I love the red/pink lipglass. Not sure what the silver lipcolor is for, kinda strange but whatever. Also the paintpot is pretty but im sure there are others out there just like it. I like the eyeshadow winterized too.

    I really really want Such Flare. But I can’t justify spending sooo much on a lipstick. I don’t own any MAC products because I would feel so guilty spending so much money on make up when I have 3 little ones, lol. I was going to purchase one or two lipsticks off of the MAC site today because I got an e-mail about free shipping on lip products but I still can’t bring myself to do so. Bahhh =(

    I like some things in this collection but the packaging is what will keep me from getting anything. I agree that it almost has a cheap look to it.
