xSparkage Confessions of a Makeup Junkie
Sometimes I like to do my makeup, but either the look itself is way too basic to warrant a tutorial, or I just don’t have the time to film one. I know you guys like seeing makeup tutorials and such, so to add to the actual tutorials I film (and pinkie swear, they’re coming!) I’m gonna start doing what I did way-back-when on live journal, and posting FOTD (Face of the Day) but I’ll just call them Quick Looks :) I doubt this will be a daily posting, but hopefully it’s more often than tutorials!
Today’s quick look is insanely simple, but always attention grabbing :) I had done my face makeup and was planning to film a tutorial, but soon realized that it was a little too late to start filming, and I still hadn’t had a chance to go to Target to get some new light bulbs for my umbrella lights (the ones I have are waaay too dim, resulting in me looking like my face is gray!) So, I decided that filming will happen tomorrow afternoon (I’m going to get an evaluation for invisalign tomorrow.. ahh! I want my bottom teeth to get re-straightened out. this is what happens if you don’t wear a retainer, kids!) And instead went over to Ulta to use my 20% off coupon :) :)
My face makeup, as always, is my OCC airbrush makeup (Y1) along with a little contouring from Benefit Hoola. All I have on my eyes is one coat of Benefit They’re Real Mascara on the top lashes, although I haven’t decided if I really like that mascara. I guess it’s good if you have a lot of lashes and just need length.
On my lips is an illamasqua Intense Lipgloss that, wouldn’t you know, doesnt have a color label on it. After searching both Sephora and Illamasqua’s website, i have a feeling this color doesn’t exist anymore.
I wish i could tell you the name! It’s a bright bright neon pink. it reminds me of OCC Anime Lip Tar, but its not as opaque.
I used a volumizing product in my hair today (i forget what it was, but I think it was a pureology volumizing mousse) which I hadn’t tried yet since it’s been short.. I don’t know if I like it yet or not. you can’t really tell from that photo, but it’s taking on a life of its own. Super final fantasy :)
This is usually what happens a few days after washing it, not a few hours! before I washed my hair this morning, it had been unwashed for just a day and a half, had zero products in it that would piece it out or add volume, and I was able to make it stick straight up. And my last stylist told me I wouldn’t have enough volume for this cut. Hah!
Oh yeah, I also made my tutorial background white. I’ve wasted so much money on fabric at Joanns for fail backgrounds, haha. I think white will work though!
Okay, this was a weird post. But I kinda liked it. I’m going to go either play Banjo Kazooie on xbox, or try dance central with xbox kinnect that I just got in the mail. I should probably do the later and get a little exercise in :)
