Inglot Gel Liners: #79, 81, 82, 84, 88- Swatches, Photos

When I was in Vegas last month, I made it a point to go to the Inglot store. I ended up getting 5 new gel eyeliners, as their gel liners come in a great range of colors most other companies don’t make, and they are all matte so they work on the waterline :)

Something that bummed me out about these is that they seemed kind of thick right off the bat. I used the Cyan one in my Nikki Minaj Tutorial, and it’s quite obvious that the liner wasn’t being easy to work with. These also dry really fast, which also didn’t help. Something I did to the Cyan color to help thin it out was add a bit of water based mixing medium (MAC) and a clear, silicone based face primer (i think the one I used was Tarte, but any clear silicone primer would work) and mixed them in with the liner (Thanks to Enkore for this awesome tip!) it made the liner super creamy again, which was great!

Thanks to that tip, I think these will work amazingly as bases for eyeshadow, along with doing colored liner on the lid. I haven’t played with any other than the cyan, but I’m excited to try the rest, especially that yellow! :)

    Did you just mix the face primer and mixing medium with the liner using a toothpick or will it mix on its own? I would assume the former, but I wasn’t sure when I first heard this tip (I don’t follow Enkore [although i should] so I don’t know if he’s done a tutorial on it already). I need to do it really badly to my black liner. I used liquid liner for the first time in forever and i miss my gel liner. D:

      If you watch Enkore’s video, he shows you how to do it :) you have to heat it in the microwave on low for like 10 second intervals or something, but watch the video first because I’m not sure..

    The yellow is amazing!! I used it for your tropical tutorial, the one you did back in Feb (I think). But yes, it’s a great one!! I also like using the white inglot gel liner for the lid whenever you use milk in your tutorials because it lasts for ever where as the milk liner always creases on my oily lids (yes even after primer lol, my eyes are lame)!!

    I found that different Inglot gel liners have different consistencies, especially between the light & dark colours, Eg, I found the lighter colours harder to work with than the darker colours & that they work better with a small eyeshadow brush (like the Stila Smudge Pot brush) rather than flat brush.

    That there is a great vampy red. Did anyone else do a triple take when reading that these are all okay to use on the waterline? That is freaking amazing. I hear about so many products that are red not being safe to use around the eyes.

    I have six of them and the three I use the most has a hugh crack down the center. They’re still very creamy but that crack is very annoying. My only beef with their gel liners is that they dry very quickly so there’s literally no room for mistakes… one swipe and in two seconds it’s dry. Oh, forget trying to do a fix-up, only baby oil removes this quick drying paint.

    How on Earth do you apply these to the waterline? I can never get it to look right!

      Try dipping an eyeliner pencil in a similar color if you have (if you don’t, use a white pencil for all the light ones and a grey or black for the dark ones, it”s easiest), and dip and swirl it a bit into the gel liner so it coats it smoothly, and gently run it into your waterline, turning the pencil as the gel product gets onto the skin. :) Hope that help!

    They look really nice, i have some chromalines in cyan and yellow and they look similiar in colour. Im actually off to inglot tonite to check out some colours after exciting discovered there was 2 stores in my city and seeing these makes my wallet scream at me more!!!

    I know you have said in the other inglot gel liner posts that they are one of the best. However Inglot is not the easiest to come by, so I was wondering if you have and suggestions or good gel liners that arent inglot.

      I don’t know if they sell where you life, essence but they have gel eyelines in onfortunatley(?) only four colours (black. purple, green and brown) they cost 3 euro’s.

    Leesha, it is true that Inglot gel liners dry out really fast but Inglot has a mixing medium called “Duraline”. I always add Duraline to the gel liners when they start drying out. Duraline makes almost liqiud liner consistency. It is much easier to use inglot gei liners with duraline.

    Great, honest review! I’ve always wanted to try Inglot stuff :P Just a question – what camera do you use to take photos for your blog and where do you take the pictures? They’re so clear and the background isn’t to bright, I have trouble taking photos for my blog because my wooden dresser is too dark and comes up quite dirty in photos and the white wall behind it looks messy. I just want a simple white background!

    These colors are like hot sex lol … I love the photos, Leesha! You need to work for these companies because the photos alone make me want these … right now … even though you say they’re no so easy to work with on their own.

    They look really lumpy in the jars…the swatches are beautiful but I’m much too lazy to be mixing them with other products when I want to use them. Liners should be ready to use from the jar, imo. If they fix the thickness I’d be the first to purchase several though. Thanks for the review.

    You can also you something that Inglot makes Especially for that. Its Called Duraline.

    You could also try mixing them with a product from Inglot called Duraline. I’ve seen Littlekiva on youtube (I believe she works for Inglot) do it in her videos to help make them more creamy :)
