A few weeks ago, my parents were in town visiting. We had a great time, and on the last day they were here, we had a bit of time to kill, and since they rented a car they needed to fill up the gas before heading to the airport. Their hotel just so happened to be by a Costco, and since I needed to buy cat litter (I never thought I would be buying a 42 pound bag of cat litter, but here we are!) and really wanted one of those long, quiet, rotating fans (which, as it has turned out, is life changing and I may need to buy another) we headed over there, and my mom and I ran in while my dad waited in the ridiculous line for gas.
As we were (somewhat) quickly going through the aisles, we passed the beauty section and I saw this mascara- 2 for $12! This retails at $25 each, and since my mom was just saying she needed a new mascara, I decided to buy it and split it with her, because I thought the idea of this mascara was intriguing and would be worth a review.

Comes with a mirror on the side of the tube, kinda fancy!

The “lash lights” are built into the cap, and there is a button to turn them on/off at the top of the cap.

The lights in this are LED lights, so they are very bright and cool-toned. To be completely honest, I’m not sure how I feel about them. The point of them is to be able to see where your mascara is going, but it actually hurts my eyes to have that light THAT close to them while applying the mascara. I can see this being useful if you need to apply makeup in the car (as a passenger!) or somewhere that doesn’t have much light.

As for the mascara itself, I like it! This is without curling my lashes, and since my lashes tend to be pretty straight, I liked the bit of curl I got with this. I like the brush too, I normally don’t like huge brushes for mascara, and this one is an average size.
Overall, I’d say this is worth picking up for 2 for $12 at Costco, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t pay $25 for it. Even better if you find a friend to split it with! :)
