I’ve had these for about a month now, and completely forgot to post about them!
MAC has released some duo-shadow palettes that are appropriately named “Double Feature”. I have six of them to share with you, and this post will be Double Feature 1, 2, and 3!

Double Feature 1- a bright yellow-gold with a veluxe pearl finish, and a frosty red-based plum. Both have decent color payoff, and would be fun to play against each other as they are complimentary colors!

Double Feature 2: Veluxe Pearl lime, and a frosty silver-gray. The limey shade has great color payoff and reminds me of Chartreuse Pigment, although this may be a bit lighter. The gray is definitely one to pack on, as it swatches pretty sheer (I must have packed it on in this swatch, I just tried it again and it came off really light on my hand!)

Double Feature 3: A matte, mid-toned teal and a gray-brown satin. The teal is really nice, I want to play with it over a white eyeliner base to really make it pop! The brown is so-so, not overly impressive, but not necessarily terrible either.
The trouble with these is that if you really like one shade, not both, it’s a total ripoff, as each duo is $25. None of the shades shown here are absolutely terrible, but the more muted colors (dark gray in #2, brown in #3) have less color payoff than I’d like. Of the three, I think #3 may be my favorite, just for that teal. I wish the Lime in #2 was paired with the teal, that’d be perfect!

These are available from MAC Cosmetics August 4th (and are already available from Nordstrom).
