As I’m sure a lot of you know, Sleek MakeUP can’t sell the Acid Palette to the US because of FDA regulations (it’s NOTHING to worry about, makeup companies just can’t sell neon eyeshadows in the US. This is a reason you might see multi-purpose items, such as MAC or Makeup Forever Pigments have a little insert that says a certain color is “not meant for use on the eyes”. Because Sleek’s palette is an EYE palette, they technically can’t sell it in the US.) My friend was able to buy it for me a few months back, but I guess the must have started to really enforce this rule because a lot of you have been unable to order it :(
**EDIT** I’ve been reading the comments and see that a lot of you have still been able to order this palette to the USA. I also wanted to post up here a comment left by my friend Jessica, as a LOT of you have been asking why the colors aren’t FDA approved:
I’ve done a good amount of digging into the issue of why fluorescent colors aren’t approved for eye use, and so far, I can’t find a reason. I have contacted the FDA requesting more information on the matter, and have searched the archives of the US National Library of Medicine, and have found nothing that explains why. To be clear, there are several fluorescent dyes that are FDA approved for use in cosmetics, just not around the eye area. Many of these colorants are approved for use in food, and in both general & topically applied drugs, even toothpaste & mouthwash, so it’s not at all clear why they aren’t considered safe for the eye area.
When it comes to FDA approval, the burden of proof, as I understand it, lies with the product manufacturer. They must be able to establish that a given colorant is safe through any necessary means. This can cost a lot of money, and it’s possible that since the demand for fluorescent eye shades isn’t high (in the grand scheme, even though it may seem like it is in our makeup junkie circles!) the companies just aren’t willing to put the money into the research necessary to prove that they are safe for use around the eyes.
Keep in mind, as I mentioned in a previous comment, these colorants are considered safe and legal for sale in eye products by the EU, where Sleek is manufactured, and EU regulations are typically much more stringent than FDA.
A bit more food for thought: currently, there are NO colorants that are FDA approved for injection into the skin, so if you have tattoos or permanent makeup, your ink is NOT FDA approved. Is it a big deal? Thats up to you to decide, but I’ve had ink for 15 years & haven’t lost a limb yet, so I think I’m OK ;)

Luckily, Sleek has just released a new palette called Curacao, and although it isn’t neons, it still has some amazing bright colors :) All of the shades have an islandy name and are very fitting for the theme of this palette!
If you’re unable to get the Acid Palette, I would definitely check this one out. There’s a nice mix of frosts and mattes, which I love in a palette. These swatches were over Too Faced Shadow Insurance, and you can see they swatch really nicely!
