Last week I went to my Local Lush and sort of binged on their Fresh Face Masks.. I bought 5! :X This isn’t a practice I would normally do, nor do I recommend to the average customer, as their Fresh Face Masks (or FFM as I will call them for the rest of this review) are just that- FRESH, they need to be refrigerated and are only good for about 2 weeks after purchasing them (this is why you won’t find them on their website, only in real stores!) The reason I bought 5 is because I wanted to review them, and to be honest I wanted an excuse to try a good portion of them out, as I usually just stick to my favorites (Love Lettuce and Cupcake!)
After Love Lettuce and Cupcake, the next one I really wanted to try was Oatifix. I had never bought it before, but every time I had gone into Lush when I lived in Arizona I would always be tempted by it- it smells AMAZING! I finally gave in this week and tried it out :)

The consistency of this mask reminds me of grits, its goopy but has a fine texture. It smells AMAZING, almost edible! Like vanilla & banana oatmeal, even sweet like oatmeal cookies… mmmm :)

I like to be pretty generous when applying the FFMs because since they’re only good for about 2 weeks, there’s no point in trying to save any, you wanna get your moneys worth! (they actually used to sell these in a much bigger tub, which was nearly impossible to go through in the 2 week period. SO glad they started selling smaller quantities at a smaller price, too!) I love using these too because they have to be refrigerated, so they feel nice and refreshingly cool when you first put them on!
Since this mask is meant to moisturize, it won’t dry and tighten on your skin. It actually sort of feels like it’s going to drip off your face, but that’s how most moisturizing masks are :)
This mask stays on for 5-10 minutes, and then you rinse with warm water. Since their are all those little oat pieces, this mask is actually a really nice exfoliant when you’re washing it off! My skin was left nice and soft and feeling nicely moisturized, not greasy with too much moisture, which is so nice!
If you have dry/sensitive skin and live by a Lush store, you have to pick this up. I promise you’ll enjoy it! And at only $6 for a tub, it’s totally worth it!
