MAC Bronze Everyday Skinsheen Leg Spray: Swatches, Photos

MAC Skinsheen Leg Spray is a long-wearing mousse that can be applied to areas of the body (not face!) to get a sun-kissed glow that will last up to three showers.

It’s not a secret that I am totally fine with my paleness. I embrace it, and have no desire to go out tanning or try and make myself any darker (that being said, If I’m out in the sun in the summer and happen to get a shade or two darker, then so be it, but I don’t go out purposefully looking to tan). I first tried Skinsheen Leg Spray about 3 years ago when it came out in 2008 when I was working at MAC. I always had thought the idea of self tanners were kinda gross, so I was hesitant to try these out. I was really surprised that I actually liked them! They give your skin just a touch of color, and a beautiful glow. I really like using these on my legs, as that’s the one part of my body that I feel could use a little pick-me-up color-wise.

Just FYI, these are NOT self-tanners, and they will not gradually make your skin darker. These would be a cheaper alternative to going and getting a spray-tan for an event.

 

These will be in the MAC permanent line starting April 7.

    I’m painfully pale (never tan, only burn) and I know I’ll need something once it warms up to make my legs look less like I’ve just taken off a cast. Are these the only two colors, or is there supposed to be one targeted specifically to us fair ladies?

    I have a friend who might be interested in these. (Paleness of the legs isn’t a problem for me, as one might guess)

      you just apply them like you would a lotion, they really dont streak :)

    I’m with you on paleness. I’ll take being pale over premature aging from sun damage any day.

    How does this wear? Like will it rub off on your clothes at all? What about if you sweat?

    I doubt this is a product I’d use, but I’m still curious.

    i’m really glad that you posted swatches for these, mainly because where i have fair skin, and most ‘self tanners’ or ‘spray tanners’ turn my skin very orange if it’s too dark, therefore, i don’t use them. however, i had been reading about these every so often, been kinda sketchy to be honest.. but now that i’ve seen what they could look like on someone with the same skin tone, or close to it, as mine i will give the medium dark one a try. thanks leesha!
